Hi there!
Welcome back for another fun Papertrey Group Post! Today's projects are all about faith and we've got several new products to showcase, that will allow us to celebrate Jesus' birth even in our paper-crafted projects! Betsy has a new stamp set in her Inspired series this month -- Inspired: Jesus -- which is perfect for Christmas cards and projects. Heather has come out with her charming new Christmas Faith stamp set, and I have my new A Thrill of Hope stamp set, which I showed you a little peek of on Day 1 of the Countdown. A Thrill of Hope features a collection of unique Christmas sentiments, all from a faith perspective. Some of these sentiments are ones you've been requesting, so I hope you're pleased with how this set turned out. I have several projects to show you today, featuring all three of these new stamp sets. And since today's post is all about "Christmas Faith", it only seems fitting that we kick things off with a Bible journaling page! You've been asking for more of these pages, so here you go! A Christmas one! Let's dive right in!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on September 15 at 10pm EST.
I used the new Inspired: Jesus to stamp the verse and then used various images from Holiday Greens to add some pretty details around the Bible verse. And since I know some of you aren't interested in Bible journaling at all, I wanted to show you again, that you can still take these ideas and easily translate them into card concepts!
For this card, I wanted to keep that same long, thin space to stamp in, just like on the Bible margin. So I die cut a Basic Bookmark #3 and trimmed off the top portion. I flipped that around and layered it over the bottom portion, popping it up on some foam adhesive. I LOVE how this looks.....I'm totally gonna have to do this again!
I used all the same colors, Bible verse and images to stamp the details on the "bookmark" and then added a few more Holiday Greens images to the tropical teal card base.
Next up, I have a card featuring one of the sentiments from my A Thrill of Hope set. I stamped it in black ink on some Olive Twist card stock and then layered on some Holiday Greens die cuts, as well as a poinsettia from Painted Poinsettias.
The nice thing about the sentiments from A Thrill of Hope, is that like this one, many of them are large enough to be used either on the front of the card, or on the inside! If you like a nice finished inside, complete with a pretty sentiment, then this set might just be for you!
I love how easy it is to mix Holiday Greens branches and such, with previously released holiday sets!!
For this card, I used Heather's new Christmas Faith stamp set. I used a Fabulous Frames die cut to create the little window for the dove, and used some branches from Holiday Greens to make it look like the bird is sitting in a tree.
All of the teeny florals and the sentiment are also from Christmas Faith.
Before I go, I have a couple more A Thrill of Hope cards to show you.......for this one, I die cut three border strips using the new Holiday Greens Borders DIES! Yep, there are dies to go along with these border stamps and they open up a world of design possibilities!
The sentiment was stamped in Olive Twist ink, and the aqua mist border was stamped with ripe avocado ink.
What's better than one berry border? TWO berry borders! Just stack 'em up! I inked the back row in pure poppy ink and the front row with both raspberry fizz and pure poppy. I love that slight variation in colors for a bit more interest.
Last one for today......for this one, I used the new Shine stamp set by Nichole Heady, to create the background, stamping pure poppy ink on raspberry fizz card stock. I will always love the look of that ink paired with that card stock. :)
The sentiment is another from A Thrill of Hope and as you can see, this one is a two-step stamp in that you can add the tiny holly berries in a separate color from the sentiment. I finished things off with a couple of Holiday Greens die cuts!
That's it for me for today, but I hope you'll stop back by tomorrow as the Countdown fun continues!
