Helloooo!
Happy September to you! It's that time again, for another Revisited post by the Senior Team at Papertrey and this month, we're pulling out Little Bitty Bird and giving it some love! I normally think of this stamp set in terms of Spring and tend to color it with Spring-y colors. So this time, with Fall fast approaching, I decided to put a Fall spin on my cards for this challenge.
I started out by die cutting the tag shape from some watercolor card stock. Next, I stamped the images using my Misti stamping tool. This allows you to re-stamp the image multiple times, to make sure you get a nice crisp image, which can be harder to achieve on textured paper like watercolor card stock.
After everything was stamped, I added some Zig marker touches to the leaves and birds and then took a water brush to the whole thing, smudging out the lines on everything.
For this card, I did much the same thing, however this time, I die cut the Noted: Scalloped oval and set that aside before adding all the stamping around the border. Next, I added the stamping on the oval and then went in with a red Zig marker, adding a touch of red to all the leaves and birds. Then I went over everything with a water brush, dragging the color outside the lines more, on all the leaves. This card reminds me of our beloved "Blaze" -- our Autumn Blaze Maple. Her leaves are the prettiest pinky-red every fall and I can't wait to see them again this year!
Be sure to pop around to see what the other girls have created with Little Bitty Bird!
