Hello there! It's time for the Papertrey December Countdown and today, I get to help introduce you to a new stamp set by Nichole Heady, called Stroke Speak. It's a collection of sentiments designed in a modern, brushstroke style that is so popular right now. Not only that, but these sentiments cover a wide range of occasions and card-making needs, which means this set will be great for year-round use!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I paired Stroke Speak with the new Fresh Bouquet stamp set and dies.
I die cut the bouquets and heat embossed them with white embossing powder, and then watercolored them with my Zig markers. I love pairing bright pink with So Saffron, so I used So Saffron for the card base and stamped one of the Stroke Speak sentiments in So Saffron ink.
Next up, I created a fun little birthday card. I stamped one of the Stroke Speak sentiments at the bottom of the card, with berry sorbet ink and then added a fun, die-cut "Celebrate!" using the new Thick & Thin: Celebrate dies.
I die cut the thick "celebrate" twice, once from the new lilac grace color and once from berry sorbet. Then, I inked the bottom half of the lilac grace layer with some lilac grace ink and an ink blending tool. Next, I die cut the thin "celebrate" from inside the thick die cut and layered the lilac layer over the top of the berry sorbet layer! I topped the card off with some garlands from the Birthday Style stamp set.
For this last card, I went with a lovey theme and paired Stroke Speak with Enclosed: Heart. I die cut the solid heart from white card stock and the outline heart from lilac grace card stock, and then I stamped it with the "Love" from Enclosed: Heart, using lilac grace ink. I stamped the floral cluster from Enclosed: Heart, a couple of times, up in the corner of the heart.
On the white background, I stamped one of the sentiments from Stroke Speak repeatedly. That one says, "You will forever be my always" and then I topped it with another sentiment stamped in prairie grass ink on coordinating card stock. The heart border die was used to add a few scallops on either side, as a finishing touch.
That's it for me today, but I'll be back tomorrow!
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady, Melissa Phillips and Laurie Willison for lots more sneak peeks. Betsy Veldman, Heather Nichols, Erin Lincoln, Maile Belles and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new sets as well.
Thank you so much for spending part of your day with me!
