Hi there!
Happy New Year!! (And happy birthday to my baby sister!)
I can't believe it's 2017....it's gonna take a little getting used to, when writing the date for awhile! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! To kick off the new year, the Senior Team at Papertrey Ink has a little inspiration for you today, using the four stamp sets in the Hills Series -- Spring Hills, Summer Hills, Autumn Hills and Winter Hills. I've chosen to work with Winter Hills and Spring Hills and first up is a little wintery card for you.
I die cut a scalloped square from watercolor card stock using one of the Noted dies (link below) and stamped the house and trees in versamark ink before heat embossing them with white embossing powder. Then, I used my Zig markers and a water brush to color the images in. The sentiment is also from the Winter Hills set and was stamped last, before tying on a little baker's twine. The watercolor panel is layered on a bit of Holiday Plaid paper that was die cut with another Noted die and the whole thing is mounted on an aqua mist card base.
For my second card, I used the Spring Hills stamp set. I love all those little hills and had fun watercoloring them in shades of green and teal.
I die cut the watercolor card stock with a Noted die and used another to cut out the hawaiian shores layer. The whole thing is layered on a green parakeet card base.
The image and the sentiment (also from Spring Hills) were stamped with Ranger jet black ink.
That's it for me today, but you'll want to check out the rest of the team's blogs, to see their Hills projects.
