Hello! The Papertrey 10th anniversary festivities have brought us to 2015! I had several stamp sets that came out that year, but I decided to pull 2015 Birthday Tags out today, to play, because I just think birthday tags are so versatile! Whether you're actually making gift tags with them or just creating embellishments for your cards, they pack a lot of punch. The fun thing about 2015 Birthday Tags is that I designed them to coordinate with several other previously released stamp sets, giving you lots of design options! Here, I pulled out Background Basics: Art Deco to stamp the pretty pattern at the bottom of the card, to match the tag I chose for my focal point!
I stamped the tag with saffron spice ink on white card stock and layered the oval die cut on a scalloped oval die cut. I also die cut a basic bookmark #2 from raspberry fizz card stock and then cut the top off and flipped it around, adding it to the top of the card with foam adhesive.
As for the art deco pattern, I used two different colored inks on the saffron card stock -- saffron spice and honey nut. They difference of inks on this color of card stock is subtle, but I like that it adds a tad more interest.
All right, how about a few other 2015 Birthday Tags cards that I've made over the years....
