Hello there! The Papertrey 10th Anniversary festivities are officially underway and this month, I get to help introduce you to several new products designed by Betsy Veldman -- Year of Psalms: February and March and the Mix & Mat: Flourishes dies! The Year of Psalms series is great because you can use the sentiments on cards, bookmarks, etc. and you can also stamp them in your journaling Bibles! They're $5 sets, so they're super affordable! As for the Mix & Mat dies, that's also a series and this first installment is the Flourishes set. The collection contains three dies that can be used alone or nested together to create a variety of different looks and the fun part is that each collection in the series can be mixed and matched with all the other sets! Fun!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on March 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I used two of the Mix & Mat: Flourishes dies to cut out the watercolor card stock. The outer frame is one die and the dotted border is another. I used two Zig markers and a water brush to create the watercolor background and when that was dry, I stamped it with a sentiment and two music notes from Year of Psalms: February.
A bit of dotted vellum and some black baker's twine were used to finish things off.
For this next card, I used the Year of Psalms: March stamp set and stamped the Bible verse on the aqua mist card base with Olive Twist ink. I also stamped the little dot clusters with hawaiian shores ink.
You can really see the embossed frame here.....I used the largest frame die only, from the Mix & Mat: Flourishes collection and embossed it with the tan & vanilla embossing mats.
Lastly, I stamped some feathers from Year of Psalms: March using my MISTI, so I could get some gradient colors on them and then cut them out with paper snips.
Of course, I couldn't resist stamping in my journaling Bible as well! Everything here is from Year of Psalms: March. I stamped the verse in Saffron Spice ink and added the feather accents and dots in hibiscus burst and pure poppy.
I've got one more card to show you.....this one features the two inner dies from Mix & Mat: Flourishes. I die cut the dots and lines from lilac grace card stock and layered a piece of amethyst allure behind it. The whole panel is adhered to an prairie grass card base.
I added some flowers from Some Like It Hot, to accent those fun stripes.
And the sentiment here, is from the new Ways to Say: Thanks stamp set.
I'm off for now, but you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady and Stephanie Gold for lots more sneak peeks and Countdown fun! Don't forget there are lots of anniversary prizes up for grabs! Betsy Veldman, Heather Nichols and Lizzie Jones will have peeks at their new products as well.
I'll have lots more to show you after Release Day, so stay tuned for lots more projects!
Have a wonderful day,
