Hello there! The Papertrey April Countdown is in full swing and today, I wanted to pop back in and share some projects with you, featuring a new product collection I designed, called Made With Love. The Made With Love stamp set is a $24 set that includes lots of different mix-and-match sentiment elements that will allow you to create all sorts of handmade tags and cards to go along with your handmade gift items! If there's one thing I've learned over the years as a paper crafter, it's that a lot of us paper crafters also dabble in other crafty hobbies as well! Plus, we love to give gifts! And when we make a gift for someone, we like to be able to include a hand-stamped tag or card along with it! The Made With Love set covers lots of different hobbies with which you could make a gift for someone else, so whether you're a knitter, baker, painter, stitcher, crocheter or even a gardener, we've got you covered! And even if your specific hobby isn't included in the set, there are several more generalized stamps that should cover most everything else....stamps that say "handmade" or simply "Made for you"....that sort of thing.
AND, not only is there a handy-dandy Made With Love stamp set, but I've also designed three new pairs of tag dies! The beauty of these tag dies is that they're sold in pairs, so you can choose which ones will work best for your needs. They can be used with the Made With Love stamp set OR they can be used with literally any other stamps in your collection!! They are super versatile! AND, two of the pairs of dies, are even layering sets so you can use one or the other alone, or you can stack them up for even more options! Made With Love Tags 1, Tags 2 and Tags 3 are sure to become staples in your stamping arsenal! Oh, and in case you thought you could only use them as tags, of course they can also be used on cards, as I'll show you in a bit!
Ok, let's get on to the projects!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on April 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first set of tags, I kept them one layer so these are fast and easy and gosh, they're tons of fun to make! To start out, I just took a piece of watercolor card stock and laid down some color with my Zig markers and a water brush. If you follow me on instagram, you may have seen that little sneak peek photo the other day! Once I had the colors laid down, I just set them aside to dry. Then, when the watercolor was dry, I die cut them with 4 of the 6 new Made With Love Tag Dies. All that was left to do, was to stamp the sentiments -- all, various elements from the Made With Love stamp set.
This little crocheted baby blankie is one I've been working on for our newest nephew. I went with colors that his mama likes, so I let the colors of the blanket, dictate the colors on my tag.
I love the sentiment at the bottom of this particular tag -- "I made this for you & prayed for you, too" -- I love it because as I work on a larger project like this for a gift, I like to pray for the recipient while I'm working. I've made several baby blankies as gifts over the years, and I always love being able to tell the new mama, that I prayed for that sweet little bundle while I was crocheting away. And of course, this sentiment can be added to ANY of your handmade gifts, whether baked, grown in the garden or something else. So sweet.
So, here is a pair of my hand-knitted socks. Don't they look cute with that watercolored tag tied on?!! In the interest of full disclosure, I won't actually be giving these away because they're a bit flawed, but you get the idea. As I get better at sock-knitting, I'll be ready to give some away with cute hand-stamped tags!
And say you're a gardener.....you can make a variety of "Grown just for you" type tags, so whether you grow and share flowers, home-grown veggies or fruit from your own trees, you can share them with cute paper crafted tags! And don't forget about the Berry Basket Die, for packaging up those home grown goodies!
I have said for years that my goal every year when we plant tomatoes, is to have such a huge bumper crop that we have tomatoes to share with everyone! Sadly, we have yet to have such a crop....the last couple of years have been cruddy for tomatoes around here. However, this could be our year!! We just bought all our heirloom tomato plants over the weekend and in another few weeks, we'll get them in the ground. We even got some tips at the nursery, from a guy who had a huge crop last year, so hopefully his tips will help! Eeee! I get so excited about those darn tomatoes every year! hahaha.
Ok, so to show you how some of these tags look on cards, I've got a couple more projects for you. For this first one, I used the Made With Love Tags 2 dies. As you can see, there is a pointed tag, as well as a scalloped tag that can be layered behind. In this case, I layered three of the scalloped tags behind, so there are lots and lots of scallops.
I heat embossed the largest tag image from Made With Love, using clear embossing powder on Saffron Spice card stock. Then, I stamped the "MADE" in Cocoa Bean ink. There are several of these curved sentiments that can be stamped in the opening, allowing you to quickly customize a really pretty tag!
To finish things off, I added a couple of leaves from Gran's Garden. (More on that set, later in the week.)
One more for you today.....for this one, I used one of the Made With Love Tags 1 dies, and stamped several sentiments on the circle portion.
The tag is layered on one of the little Noted: Square card bases.
On the bottom portion of the tag, I stamped the dots that are included in the Made With Love set and lastly, topped it with a flower and leaves from Gran's Garden.
For today, you'll want to be sure to visit Nichole Heady for lots more sneak peeks.
