Hello again!
So for today's Papertrey fun, I’ve got a couple projects for you and first up is the new Initial Sentiments: Birthday stamp set by Nichole. I sometimes need a quick way to dress up a gift card, and sometimes I like to have a cute little bag to wrap it up in, that can also sort of serve as my greeting card too. That’s where this first project comes in to play!
I started out with a store-bought striped paper bag…..I keep a few basic things like this on hand. I found these at Target a year or two ago and they’re definitely handy to pull out when you need one and they’re super easy to dress up in a million different ways.
I die cut a couple of new Made With Love Tags 3 dies and used the woodgrain metal stencil to sponge on some new leaf ink on the hawaiian shores tag. This gift is for a guy, so I love that woodgrain touch!
For the top tag, I stamped the large HB from Initial Sentiments: Birthday, inking up the top half in new leaf ink and the bottom in tropical teal. I also stamped another happy birthday sentiment on a white card stock strip and popped that up over the top with foam adhesive.
Then, I stamped the HB and a happy birthday sentiment, also from Initial Sentiments: Birthday, directly on the front of the bag down in the corner.
The tags were tied on to the bag with a bit of baker’s twine from my stash and I used a couple of washi tapes to close up the bag in back.
And one more for today.....for this one, I used Kay's new Flower Mandalas II die collection to cut out all of the medallion pieces and then used liquid glue to adhere them all together.
I tucked some Gran's Garden leaves in tropical teal, out to the side of the mandala, to turn it into a big flower.
For the sentiment, I grabbed one of the small ones from the new Initial Sentiments: Birthday set, and stamped it a few times, tilting the stamp slightly each time, for a light, airy look.
All right, that's it for me today but Nichole and the other designers have lots more inspiration for you. I'll see you back here tomorrow with lots more to share!
