Hello there! Today kicks off the Papertrey July Countdown and this month, I'm exciting to be bringing you two new stamp sets in the Raspberry Suite line up -- Cover Up: Quatrefoil and Cover Up: Diamonds! Each of these are large single stamps sold separately, that will essentially cover most of a card front with just one impression. They allow you to create really quick backgrounds or you can do all sorts of fun techniques with them, like heat emboss & watercolor! If you want to stamp the image a second time, you can line them up and cover the entire card front, but by keeping the stamps the size of a single stamp sheet, it allows them to be priced at just $15 each! I've got a couple cards to share with you today, and then will be sharing more as Countdown week continues. Let's get to the first card, shall we?
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on July 15 at 10pm EST.
I stamped Cover Up: Diamonds with Fresh Snow ink on Smokey Shadow card stock and then cut a hole in the center, with the Limitless Layers: 2-1/2" circle die. I stamped the "Happy" from Just a Number on the white card base and then added a strip of Lilac Grace card stock with the "Birthday", also from Just a Number.
When I designed these stamp sets, the first thing I wanted to do with them was heat emboss them with white embossing powder on watercolor card stock and then watercolor them to add color. I sat down and had a fun watercolor session, where I did just that on several different pieces of card stock and goodness me, it was so fun!!
For these butterflies, I took one of those Cover Up: Quatrefoil watercolored panels and die cut them with the Beautiful Butterflies dies, and then used the Beautiful Butterflies Details dies, to add some white card stock bodies over the top.
And here is a simple card that was so darn fun to make! I stamped Cover Up: Quatrefoil and did the same technique as above, adding watercolor to each of the rows. A fun thing about these stamps is you can add your color in rows or just simply freeform over the whole panel (as seen on the butterflies) and either way, it looks beautiful. The stamp detail does a lot of the work for you, and you only have to stamp it once to cover this whole panel! Love that.
Couldn't resist watercoloring a rainbow and sticking to rows this time. Not only is it so fun to just sit and watercolor piece after piece of card stock, but it's also quite therapeutic! Haha!!
For the sentiment, I pulled out a couple stamps from Birthday Classics: March and heat embossed them with white embossing powder on Smokey Shadow card stock and notched the end with paper snips. It's a nice and simple card but I love that you could use it for a kid, a teen or an adult.
That's it for me today, but Nichole Heady has lots more inspiration from the team to share with you and Michelle Leone is showcasing Cover Up: Quatrefoil & Cover Up: Diamonds today, as well!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I'll chat with you again soon!
