Hi, Friends! Happy Mother's Day and welcome back for Day 4 of Papertrey Countdown fun! Today's post is a patriotic one with some new stamp sets geared toward celebrating the 4th of July. To start things off, I've got a card for you that I made with Betsy's new Kaboom! stamp set! Not only is it super cute, but how fun is that name?!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST. You can see these these new products and all the details about them HERE.
I used the Mix & Mat: Scallops die to cut out the white card stock layer and stamped several of the fireworks images in a variety of colors. Then, I dabbed on some liquid glue over the fireworks and then sprinkled Prisma glitter over the top, to make them sparkly!
The sentiment is also from Kaboom! and I popped all of it on a layer of bitty dot vellum, before adhering it all to a hawaiian shores card base.
Next up, is a couple of new stamp sets.....both by Lexi Daly. I put them both together on this card....Celebrate With a Bang is another fun fireworks set with a more modern twist. And Stars and Stripes features a variety of stars as well as coordinating sentiments. I paired sentiment bits and pieces from both sets, to create this sentiment.
I stamped the sentiment with blueberry sky ink and added fireworks and tiny stars from Celebrate With a Bang. Next, I die cut and stamped some stars from Stars and Stripes, and added those on top of the fireworks.
I offset the white panel when adhering it to the pure poppy card base for a fun little twist.
And one more for you today, so you can see my new Cover Up: Hexagons in action again!
I heat embossed the hexagons with white embossing powder on watercolor card stock and used a few Zig markers and a water brush to color some of them in.
I topped them with a few gemstones from my stash (from Studio Calico).
For the sentiment, I used one from Sentiment Staples: Thank You and heat embossed it with white embossing powder on smokey shadow card stock. The whole thing is layered on some soft stone card stock.
That's it for me today but I'll be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, be sure to check out the Papertrey Blog for lots more inspiration featuring this month's new releases!
See you tomorrow!
