Hey-o! Have you been enjoying the Papertrey Countdown so far? I've got a fun card to share with you today....I had some fun with the color pairings on this one and I love how it turned out!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on May 15 at 10pm EST.
So this card features a new stamp set called How Are You Today by Rebecca Luminarious, as well as the new sentiment set, Words to Live By: Laugh, by Betsy Veldman. To start off, I used a Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical die to cut out the white layer, and then I stamped the sentiment, positioning it where I wanted it first. That way, I could build my floral corner arrangements around it. I stacked up these funky little blooms in a pair of color combos....pale peony, berry sorbet, and pure poppy as well as hibiscus burst, topped with two layers of orange zest. And after that, I used the outline leaves, to fill in around the blooms. To finish things off, I added a few more of those stamped leaves on the upper right corner of the card base, for a bit of added interest.
The pinked edge layer was placed over a strip of cocoa bean card stock and all of it was mounted to a saffron spice card base. And can I just say how much I love that sentiment??? Laughter is the best medicine! And I should know! I've had a small intestine transplant!! If anyone's had a bit of experience in the department of laughter being the best medicine, it's me! LOL!
Anyway, I had a lot of fun putting this card together! I hope it's inspired you to pair up some funky colors to create something beautiful today!
