Ok, so did you ever just fall in love with a group of new products so hard, that you couldn't stop using them?!! That's what happened here, folks! Not only did I fall in love with one stamp set or die or whatever, but several of them....partly because of how beautiful they are and partly because of how well they all work together! When you pair my new Scallop Stackers dies with Lizzie's Pierced Feature Frames dies and Betsy's new Orchid Expressions stamp set....gahhh! the cards seriously, nearly make themselves. I again, did the thing I've been telling you to do over and over again in recent months. I die cut and stamped lots of these gorgeous orchids in lots of different color combos and then the cards came together in a matter of minutes, in some cases!
And if you know me or have been in our house or even seen pictures of our kitchen table, we keep an orchid on our table for most of the year. They last a good 6 or 8 weeks, and you know how much I love flowers, but I don't love spending money on cut flowers every single week. So we buy a Trader Joe's orchid for $10 or $15 and when that one poops out, we toss it and get another one! (Yes, I know they'll eventually rebloom, but after keeping several of them around for nearly a year, I finally gave up. I don't want all the old dud ones sitting around taking up space while I'm waiting for them to bloom again in a year! Haha! I'd rather just get a new one and move on! Heehee!)
Anyway, all of that is to say that I love orchids. Like, seriously love them. Ask my hubby. Ask my family. Ask my friends. In fact, when I told Bartley about Betsy's set, he said, "Why didn't you design an orchid set?!" Haha....he knows how much I love them! So, needless to say, I'm thrilled that Betsy created this set for us to stamp with because it is a stunner!
I used my Scallop Stackers: Large dies here, along with Cover Up: Grid for the background and I paired the orchids with a sentiment from Jennifer Campbell's new Botanical Bounty Sentiments.

For this next card, I used my Scallop Stackers: Small dies on a piece of vellum, and stamped just the orchid branch from Orchid Expressions, without the leaves and pot.
I also did a bit of ink blending on the card base, adding summer sunrise ink to the left side of the hawaiian shores card front and new leaf ink to the right side. Subtle color change, but it's there. Fun to see in real life.
For the sentiment, I used stamps and die from the new Words to Live By: Inspire set.

For this one, I used that same orchid branch again, but I stacked three of them up, curving them around the oval here. And this time, I used a sentiment from Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You, and some ink blending. More Scallop Stackers: Medium, of course!

More of all of the above.....haha! Broken record here, but seriously, look how each card uses nearly the same supplies but they all look so different! LOVE THAT! Did some heat embossing on the Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You sentiment here and cut the scallops directly out of the card front. So there are scalloped holes in the front of the card. So fun! Also, I used one of the Pierced Feature Frames dies here, with some patterned paper! So darn quick and easy!

Me again. More of the same. Tired of me yet? LOL! Ink blending on the sentiment and everything else is on repeat from above! Turned it all horizontally this time!
One more! This time, I put the Pierced Feature Frame BEHIND the scallops and I used a couple of the sentiments from my new Never Enough: Thanks. I may as well go ahead and warn you that I still have some stamped orchids laying on my desk ready to be used, so you've not seen the last of them around here! Want my advice? Buy those orchid stamps! Haha! And the scallop dies! And the frame dies! And all the sentiments, of course! You could make cards for years with just those items! lol!
Just trying to help.....! :)
