Hello there! It's Transformation Tuesday at Papertrey Ink and I get to share a project with you today!
You know, sometimes we can make a card and it turns out “ok”. It’s pretty enough and maybe it works well enough to give away, but don’t you just love it when you create a card that really just SINGS?! One that makes you so happy to look at and one that you just can’t wait to give away, because you know it’s gonna make the recipient smile? I love when that happens!

When I first made this “Grateful for you” card for the countdown, it was ok, but it just wasn’t making me wanna do cartwheels over it! Haha. So glad that with stamps and ink and paper and dies, we get lots of chances to make a card that really makes our hearts beat a little faster. That’s what this newly transformed card does for me now! Hope it does the same for you! Let me tell you all about it....
Of course you can see that I kept the same layout....I was happy with that, but I really wanted to showcase the Corner Adorner stamps and dies a little differently. I loved the pop of white though, with all of the colored flowers and the kraft/honey nut background, so I heat embossed the Corner Adorner on white card stock with white embossing powder. This let me add that pretty detail from the stamp, while still keeping the white!
I used the Scallop Stackers: Large dies, to cut out the kraft & honey nut layers and stamped the sentiment (another from Never Enough: Thanks, the same set I used on the first card), directly on the plaid patterned paper.
I also die cut and stamped lots of flowers and leaves from Stitching Garden and piled them on the corner, similar to the first card. There's just something about the way that all the colors came together on this one, that feels like more of a great fit than the card from the countdown. I'm really happy with this one and I'm glad I took the time to "transform" it into something that I love!
Hope I've inspired you to do the same, if there's a card you've made but haven't been super excited about. How can you tweak it to make it better? What can you do to change it up so that you really love it?
It's fun to look at even a card that you DO love, and try to come up with ways to change it up while still keeping some things the same! It's a great challenge to get your creativity flowing again, if your mojo has gone missing!
Have a great day, friends! I'm so glad you dropped by!
