So today is the official introduction day for my new Scallop Stackers: Small dies, even though I gave you a peek at them yesterday! But I've used them a couple different ways today, and I've paired them with a couple of new stamp sets.....the new Glorious Globes: August set by Lizzie as well as the You Made My Day set by Rebecca Luminarias! I started out with a kraft card base, and die cut it with just the scallop holes die from the new Scallop Stackers: Small. I LOVE doing this....with all three of the sizes of Scallop Stackers. Such a fun way to add a frame without exactly adding a frame! Haha.
Next up, I stamped several globes from the new Glorious Globes set. One thing to note about the leaves I stamped.....I used saffron spice on the globe stands on two of them. I also wanted to use saffron spice for some of the leaves on the globes, but wanted to lighten the color up a bit, so I stamped it off each time, before I stamped it on the globe. And since that first pass was lighter than I really wanted, I did the same thing again. So each time you see those yellow leaves, they were stamped off first and then stamped....two times each to achieve that color. That may be more info than you wanted, but as a very meticulous color-lover, those kinds of details matter to me! I have looked at other blogs and wondered how on earth did she get that exact color.....on whatever project I might have been looking at. I try to share those types of tips with you, when I've done something a little differently, so you can achieve the same look if you'd like. ;)
I stamped the card front with a sentiment from You Made My Day (so many cute sentiments to choose from!), and then popped all of the globes on the card. Lastly, I stamped the "Ever so" just about the "grateful" globe, to finish off that little phrase.

I also have another new die series to give you a first look at today!! The series is called Say It Simply and this die is called Say It Simply: Wishing You a Lovely Birthday!! Stay tuned later in the week, for another Say It Simply die, but for today, the team is sharing this fun birthday sentiment die with you! This die cuts three pieces that easily line up to create this pretty sentiment! The series of dies is larger in scale, allowing you to SAY IT SIMPLY with a single die cut and perhaps a pretty background -- as in the case here -- or a few small embellishments and you're done! These dies are designed to make it fairly simple to create a really gorgeous card!
I die cut four layers of the sentiment and stacked them all up.....spray adhesive and a pair of tweezers just for this purpose, makes this a really quick process. And yes, I linked the ones I use below, because I know some of you will wonder or ask! ;)
I put my sentiment on a Shape Shifters: Oval 2 die cut. It's watercolor card stock that I stamped with Cover Up: Grid and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then watercolored it with my Zig markers and a water brush. I popped the oval layer on one of the new Scallop Stackers: Small die cut layers and then popped that layer on the card front with, you guessed it, lots of foam adhesive. LOL. Seriously though, don't you hate when you've used a few little squares of it and a few months later, things are falling off your cards? That's no good. Or when you only use a few squares at the corners or wherever and then a couple months later, after your cards have been sitting in a basket or drawer, you pull one out to use it and it's sagging in the middle where there's no foam adhesive? Annoying. Doesn't happen when you use a gob of foam tape. Haha! You can't GET these die cuts off if you want to! Trust me! I've tried!! lol. Man, where's the laughing emoji when you need it?!
Anyhoosie, I'm off for now because clearly I'm a bit loopy! It's probably the spray adhesive! ;)
