Hi, Friends!
So I suppose this post could alternately be titled "Book Report - It's About Darn Time"! LOL! You guys have been asking and asking for new book recommendations and I so love that you enjoy these posts so much and have found some really great reads as a result! The truth of the matter is just that we had a pretty busy summer and I didn't take much time to read. But now that fall is just around the corner, I find myself wanting to read more and have been enjoying it so much! Plus, I've been working out a bit more these days, and I read while I'm on the elliptical, which makes the work out go by much quicker! Haha! But it also means I'm blowing through books faster! So for today, I've just got four new titles for you, but I'll put together another Book Report post for you soon.
In the meantime, I've been on a bit of a modern-day mystery kick lately, so that's what three of these four titles are. Two of them, in fact, are the first two in a new series by Colleen Coble, and I'm chomping at the bit till the third title comes out. I think we'll have to wait till December or January for that though. The first book here, is a historical fiction title with a bit of romance, that is a follow-up to one I shared several months back. So you might have already read the first in that series and if so, you're likely to enjoy this next one, too.
- The Heart of an Agent by Tracey J. Lyons
- The View from Rainshadow Bay (A Lavender Tides Novel) by Colleen Coble
- The House at Saltwater Point (A Lavender Tides Novel) by Colleen Coble
- Dangerous Illusions (Code of Honor Book #1) by Irene Hannon
As always, these are clean, smut-free reads though they're far from boring! There's murder, mystery, intrigue, romance, you name it! I love books like that, don't you? Hope you find some here to enjoy!
Oh, and I know I shared this with you gosh, probably a couple years ago, but here's the Kindle Paperwhite that I have. Bart got it for me back in 2016 and at the time, I wouldn't have bought it for myself because I LOVE books. Actual books made with real paper and pretty, colorful covers. LOL. But, once again, my hubs was right....the Kindle makes reading super easy. As in, I can read on the elliptical without having to hold the book open! Which means that working out doesn't stink so bad! Haha! Anyway, in case you wondered which one I have and have loved for the last 2+ years, it's that one. I do miss books, but I so love the ease of reading on the kindle and how it even tells me how much more time is left in the book! So if I only have a short bit left, I can decide easily if I want to stay up later reading, or if there's enough left that I can save it for tomorrow so I can really savor it! Hahaha. (Thank you, Bartley, for knowing I'd fall in love with my Kindle!)
I've got another fun post for you tomorrow, so I hope you'll stop back by! See you then!
