Hi Friends!
I've got a couple of recent Etsy finds for you, that I've been really excited to tell you about!
So I've said lately that Bart and I have been feeling like FLOURISH really is kind of the word for us in 2018, because it seems like the Lord is just letting everything around us flourish, after so many years of it feeling like everything was doing literally the opposite of that! It feels like I am flourishing, like our garden is flourishing, like my hair is flourishing as it regrows. Heck, it just feels like life in general is flourishing right now and it's an amazing feeling after so many years of suffering. SO, I knew I wanted to have a piece of jewelry made with the word FLOURISH on it and if you've followed me on instagram for long, you've probably seen that I wear bracelets every day. In particular, I have a few special ones that are thin bangles that are either vintage from my Grandma or ones we've gotten on vacation or that have been gifts, etc. So it was an obvious choice to look for a thin bangle to add to my "stack" that I could wear every day. It was also important to me to find one in sterling silver so it would last.
So I went on the hunt, and this is the bracelet I decided on -- see the top one that says "FLOURISH". Skinny Sterling Silver Bangle by Betsy Farmer Designs You select the size you want and the finish (mine is the shiny finish) and when you order it, you tell her the word you want on your bracelet and she hand-stamps it and gets it sent right out to you. This one came really quickly and it is truly beautiful. This is a great item to get for yourself if there's a word that's really special to you, or even your kids' or spouse's names. But it would also make a really lovely gift for someone else! Remember, Christmas is coming! You could totally get ahead of the game and do a little early shopping now! Plus, you'd be supporting a small business which always feels good.
So when I was searching for my Flourish bracelet, I came across these other personalized bracelets by Kathryn Riechert. The great thing about these is that you can have an entire Bible verse stamped on the bracelet!! I knew right away that I'd love to have a few different verses to wear all the time, but the first one had to be 2 Samuel 22:20, which says, "He brought me out into a spacious place; He rescued me because He delighted in me." GAH! SUCH a special verse to me. It just feels like the Lord has really brought me to a spaaaacious place these days and He has absolutely rescued me from all the pain and sickness that we dealt with for so long! So this bracelet is a constant reminder to me of all that He has done for me (as if every single MEAL I get to eat isn't reminder enough! Ha!)!
Anyway, again.....if there's a verse that is super special to you, these are so great to get for yourself. But they also make such a great keepsake kind of gift that could be a really great reminder for someone else. For these, you choose your size and also the type of metal you want. I went with sterling silver again. And there's a character limit for your verse, so you'll want to make sure to follow her instructions to make sure it'll fit. Anyway, highly, highly recommend these! I would like to add a few other verses to my stack! ;)
Hopefully the above photo gives you a good idea of the scale of the bracelets. They're very thin, which is exactly what I was looking for. They're not "in your face" at all, but I love knowing what's imprinted on them and being able to see them every time I see my arm.
K, friends....just wanted to show you a couple of Etsy purchases I've made recently that have brought me so much joy and I thought you might enjoy having the info too, in case you wanted to get one for yourself or a loved one. I know how overwhelming it can be when you sit down to shop at Etsy and you type something in the search box and a zillion options pop up! Haha! Options are good, for sure, but they can also make me say forget it, it's too many options! LOL. At least with these two, I can tell you that I had great experiences and love the finished products!
