We're also showcasing the next in Betsy Veldman's Text & Texture series....Wood Slices....and I have to say that I really like this one! Of course you can stamp this in very realistic browns and tans, but you know I couldn't do that to start things off, could I? Haha....I stamped it in a few out-of-the-box color combos just for fun and I really like the results!
So there are two main background building images in the set, that you layer on top of each other. The pink combo here is raspberry fizz card stock stamped with hibiscus burst and pure poppy inks. The hawaiian shores is stamped with new leaf, topped with olive twist. And the saffron spice is stamped with saffron spice and topped with cocoa bean.
I used that last panel here, to create my foxy little card. I layered it on a Scallop Stackers: Large die cut from cocoa bean card stock and popped that on a tropical teal card base.
For the sentiment, I stamped a couple of the little circles from Winter Fox and punched a hole in the top one, turning it into a little tag. I added some baker's twine and popped those both up with a bit of foam adhesive.
I also stamped the little red fox as well as a few trees from Winter Fox, to finish things off. Such a cute little set!

Next up, we're also introducing a new stamp set Kimberly Crawford, called Sending You Comfort as well as a new die collection from Lizzie Jones, called Hinged Gift Card Box: Christmas Window. These new dies pair with the previously released Hinged Gift Card Box dies, giving you a couple new ways to customize your little gift card boxes for the holidays.
For my box, I die cut it from olive twist card stock and stamped a strip of branches from Holiday Greens Borders on it, with tropical teal ink. When I assembled the box, I added a strip of tropical teal card stock and then topped it with a few of the pretty branches from Sending You Comfort, stamped with aqua mist and olive twist inks.
On top of the branches, I added some berries from Holiday Greens as well as a little tag from the Scalloped Tags collection. On the tag, I stamped a sentiment from Holiday Greens Borders, as well as a few of the little two-step leaves and berries from Sending You Comfort. I tied everything together with a bit of baker's twine and added a few red sequins from my stash.
Before assembling the box, I used one of the new Hinged Gift Card Box: Christmas Window dies, to cut out the sentiment on that back of the box, and tucked a piece of bitty dot paper inside. That way, the box is not only cute on the top, but on the bottom, too!
All right, I need to run for now, but be sure to check out the Papertrey Blog for lots more inspiration featuring these fun new products!
