Hello there! I'm so glad you stopped by today, because it's Day 2 of the Papertrey Countdown and I've got lots more to show you today! I've got several projects for you featuring Lizzie's new Corner Adorner: October set as well as the new Sentiment Staples: Season's Greetings, but I'm excited to show you how well those stamp sets work with my new Blooming Amaryllis! You just get so much more bang for your stamping buck, when you buy products that can all work well together and be mixed and matched! You know you can use any of the sets individually, but it's a major bonus, when you can use your sets in conjunction with other sets for lots more creative options! SO, that being said, let's get to the projects, shall we?
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on October 15 at 10pm EST.
For this first card, I started out with Betsy's new Shape Shifters: Square 3 die and let that serve as the guide for my card base size. I trimmed the base to be a square, to frame that pretty Shape Shifters die cut.
To that, I added the pair of Blooming Amaryllis stamped in reds, and behind them I tucked some of the Corner Adorner greens, as well as a couple of little bells from the set.
I pulled out the Background Basics: Birch stamp and stamped it just along the birch branches on the die cut and then topped it with a tropical teal layer that was die cut with the same Shape Shifters die, but trimmed down to fit inside it. I love that dotted square detail.
I stamped it with a sentiment from the new Sentiment Staples: Season's Greetings.

Next up, I stamped the Corner Adorner branches on the corners of the card base, as well as a Sentiment from Sentiment Staples. For the flowers themselves, I stamped them in a variety of reds, as well as the leaves/stems in greens. I die cut the flowers, as well as the flower/stem combo, and layered the flower die cut on top of the flower/stem die cut, for a double-layered look.
The flower pot die has a slit in it, that allows you to tuck the flower stems into it, which gives it a slightly more realistic look.
I die cut the two layers of bows from Corner Adorner, and added that to the main stem on my flowers for a fun, gift-y twist.

Ok, so next up, is Corner Adorner as it was intended to be used....in a corner. Haha! Here, I paired it with my newest Say It Simply: Merry & Bright die. You'll be getting lots more looks at this one layer in the Countdown, but I put it on some Scallop Stackers: Large die cuts of tropical teal and aqua mist.
I love doing a bit of ink blending on those pine branches to give them some variegated color.

Ok, so last one for today.....I stamped Blooming Amaryllis blooms in a variety of pinks and reds, as well as a stack of Corner Adorner pine boughs and adhered them to an aqua mist card base, trimming off the sides to create a big, bold background pattern.
This was so much fun to do and it only took three of the flower images because I used the bits I trimmed off, to fill in any gaps around the edges of the card. (See the little chunk of flower in the upper right hand corner.)
Along the bottom of the card, I used a strip of card stock, as well as the top of a Basic Bookmark 2 die cut, and stamped two of the Sentiment Staples sentiments to finish things off.
That's it for me today, but as always, there's lots more at the Papertrey Blog for you, so head that way next!
