Hey Friends, I'm up with this week's Design Team Tips post for Papertrey!
When the Poinsettia & Pine tag kit first came out, I barely even scratched the surface in using it, and I've been anxious to play with it some more ever since! Today, I put it to use on some quick and easy Christmas cards, and thanks to the gorgeous pre-printed papers in the kit, I barely even had any stamping to do! Not that stamping isn't fun, but if you're anything like me, this time of year is probably pretty busy for you. I love being able to put pre-printed papers to good use, by whipping up some gorgeous cards and tags with ease, when I'm pressed for crafting time! Plus, it was fun to pair everything with my new Mix-Ups Pocket Tag Dies, for a fun twist! These items pair together so well!
I die cut three Mix-Ups Pocket Tags and stamped each with Cover Up: Grid using versamark ink. I love that subtle detail that it adds.
HERE'S A TIP FOR YOU: For a fun and interesting twist to break up all of the straight lines on each of the three tag layers, I turned the grid on an angle, so that it stamped a diamond pattern rather than a straight grid! I also stamped this in my MISTI stamping tool, so once I had the stamp in the tool, it was easy to stamp each of the three tags quickly. I did have to move the stamp, and stamp it twice on each tag, to cover it corner to corner with the diamond pattern.
I love that you can die cut additional printed poinsettias to fill the center of the tag for an additional layer. There's so much detail but it all comes together with just a few die cuts!
For this one, I added the "Merry Christmas" stamp at the bottom, from the coordinating Poinsettia & Pine stamp set.
When you don't have a lot of time during the busy holiday season, but you want something handmade and beautiful, having goodies like these on hand to work with, sure makes it a cinch!
Thanks so much for dropping by, Friends!
Happy weekending!
