Hiiiiii! Guess what! It's Release Day and Papertrey has a free gift with purchase for you this month, and it just happens to be this darling little birthday cake stamp set, designed by Jennifer Campbell!
I stamped all of the birthday cake layers in ombre order first, starting at the bottom and working my way up. Then, I went back in with scarlet jewel ink, and stamped all of the sentiments and sprinkles over the cake layers.
Once that was done, I stamped those fun birthday candles and flames and glowy circles around the flames (I love that!) and then die cut the whole thing with one of my Mix-Ups Pocket Tag Dies!
I love that cocoa bean cake plate at the bottom! And the hand-lettered sentiment is so pretty!
I tucked part of a pure poppy Delicates die cut behind either side of the tag and layered it on a piece of pierced berry sorbet card stock.
Lastly, there's a bit of scalloped trim at the bottom, that I cut off a Noted: Scalloped Square die cut. I love doing that....using bits and pieces of die cuts in different ways than they were originally intended. That way you get more use out of them!
