Hi, Friends! Happy Countdown week! There's another fun release coming at Papertrey and we're kicking things off today, introducing a new set of dies that I have coming out called Delicates dies, as well as another new stamp set by Jennifer Campbell, called Penned Elegance II. First, let me tell you about this set of two Delicates dies.....you might want to go ahead and prepare to see them on nearly every card I've made this week, because they work on soooo manyyyyy thingssssss!! Haha!! I can't seem to stop using them, and that's the beauty of it! Major bang for your buck with these babies. They're a bit snowflakey, a bit doily-ish, a bit Spirography, and even a bit flower-esque, depending on how you choose to use them! Just wait and see. They can be used as the focal point or layered behind or on top of a ton of other die cuts and images! They're fun, I'm tellin' ya!
(All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on December 15 at 10pm EST.)
So for this first card, I used just one of the dies, but I die cut three of the same die from gold adhesive paper and three from saffron spice card stock. Let me just interject here, that you might as well go ahead and order some of that gold adhesive paper when you order these dies because they're a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN! I want to put gold adhesive Delicates die cuts on ALL the colors of card stock!! They look awesome on this tropical teal card stock, but can't you just imagine them on raspberry fizz, or on aqua mist, or for a more traditional look, maybe on some pure poppy or even enchanted evening? So many possibilities!
After adhering the gold adhesive Delicates to the card stock, which is literally just a 'peel off the backing and stick' situation, then I adhered the saffron spice card stock die cuts JUST in the centers, with some liquid adhesive. This way, the edges of the 'doily', just kind of lift up just a bit. SO pretty!
I topped each pair with a gem from my stash and then I added a die cut sentiment from Penned Elegance II, stamping saffron spice ink on the coordinating card stock. I love this sentiment set!!

So, for this next card, I kept it suuuuper simple, since it's for my hubby, and I LOVE the simplicity of it. I paired a couple of that same die cut from the Delicates set that you saw on the first card, with a few wood buttons that I got in a big bag of them at Michaels.
I used scor-tape this time, to adhered the button to the doily and the doily to the card base.
How great is that sentiment?! I can see me using this one a lot!
{Hello, Handsome supplies}
One more for you, pairing the same two new products again. Only this time, I also added in a new stamp set by Betsy Veldman that's also being introduced today....this one is called Text & Texture: Bokeh. SO FUN!
I stamped the two background stamp layers in hawaiian shores and new leaf inks on aqua mist card stock and layered that panel on a new leaf card base.
For the focal point, I used the other Delicates die from the set....this is a different one than I used on the first two cards. It's a bit thicker, a bit less delicate, and looks so fun with that bokeh background! I topped it with another die cut sentiment from Penned Elegance II. Along the bottom of the card, I added a strip of watercolor paper that I'd done a bit of watercoloring on. I used the Noted: A2 scalloped card base die, to get that dotted, scalloped edge.
HERE'S A TIP FOR YOU: If you ever do some watercoloring and you don't love how the whole piece turns out, don't be afraid to die cut it and use it either in strips or in cut up as a little tag or other embellishment. Sometimes just cutting it and using a small portion of it, makes it go from blah to amazing!
All right, I've gotta run for now, but be sure to check out the Papertrey Blog for lots more fun projects highlighting this month's new goodies!
I'll chat at you again tomorrow!
