Hey Friends!!
Just popping in with a few books to share. Book posts are some of my most-asked-for posts, so I'm going to try to do a better job of sharing a few books more often rather than more books less often! Does that make sense? Rather than waiting until I have more books to share with you all at once, I'll try to share them more often, as I finish them myself. Hopefully, that'll keep a more steady stream of books coming your way, for those of you who are like me and always like to have something to read at all times! All of these I'm sharing with you today are Christian fiction titles. They're all good stories that will likely suck you right in, but they're also clean! No smut so you can know that if you want to share these with your Grandma or your teenager, you can do so without worrying that there might be questionable content in them! Don't let that fool you into thinking they're boring though! You don't need smut to keep it interesting! These titles have mystery, romance, intrigue.....all of that good stuff! You can click the links below to pop over and read all about them at Amazon, to see if any of them might interest you!
1. So first up is In Dreams Forgotten (Golden Gate Secrets #2) by Tracie Peterson. I shared the first in the series with you in my last book post, and this book is the follow up. It's historical fiction set in the late 1800's and follows three friends and what transpires in their lives over the course of a few years. This one had a bit of mystery and a twist that I didn't see coming until it was there! I love when that happens. I will also tell you that book three in this series is already out as well, though I haven't read that one yet. It's on my wishlist though!
2. Next up is Bringing Maggie Home by Kim Vogel Sawyer. This one is modern day fiction and I was excited to read this one because it's by the same author who wrote one of my favorite books ever (Room for Hope)! I told you of my great love for that title in my last book post. As for Bringing Home Maggie, I really enjoyed it! I don't know that it was on the same level as Room for Hope for me, just because I think Room for Hope is one of the best books I've ever read! Hard to top that! Ha! But still, Bringing Maggie Home had a very intriguing family mystery that I couldn't wait to get to the bottom of! I was very sucked in......it was a great read that I think you might enjoy, too!
3. And lastly for today, The Bride of Ivy Green (Tales from Ivy Hill #3) by Julie Klassen. In past book posts, I've shared the first two books in this series as well as several others she's written, because I love me some Julie Klassen fiction! This one didn't disappoint! It had a bit of a love triangle situation that had me stumped! I couldn't decide which way it was gonna go, or even which way I WANTED it to go! Haha! This one's definitely a great historical fiction book that rounded out the series. I kinda wish she'd just keep on going with more tales from Ivy Hill though!
Seems like the best you can hope for a lot of the time, is three books in the series. I love it though, when series are long. Like, LONG. When a story is really good and you fall in love with a particular setting or group of people, you just want to keep reading more and more about them, don't you? Please tell me I'm not alone in this!
I'm reading another modern-day fiction book right now that I'm REALLY enjoying! As in, grinning from ear to ear at the kitchen table over my lunch today, while reading as I ate! Let's just say that among other things, there is knitting involved in the storyline!! BUT, I'm not telling you which book it is yet, because you know I like to make sure it's good all the way to the end, before I share it with you!! That way you know, if I'm recommending it here, then I've read it and enjoyed it. All of it! Haha! So stay tuned for that! At the rate I'm going, I might just blow through that one this weekend!
Anyhoo, happy reading, Dearies!
