Good morrrrrrrrning!! Today is Day 1 of the Papertrey January Countdown and it's a fun one because I get to help introduce you to a new stamp set by Betsy Veldman, called Let's Fiesta! This one is right up my alley because it's so fun and cheery and practically begs for bright, happy colors! Who am I to say no, when a stamp set is begging??? Haha!
All of the new products you're getting peeks at this week will be available for purchase at Papertrey Ink beginning on January 15 at 10pm EST.
So first up, I started by die cutting and stamping all of these adorable little bits and bobs. A little rug, some banner flags, teensy flowers and my favorite, those fold-out, paper accordion thingies! LOL! I'm pretty sure that's the technical name for them! I love them for their brilliant and realistic design! When you stamp the two layers, you get a very realistic looking image! Plus, I'm usually all in on any stamps that allow me to mix and match and layer ink colors! That's the fun part!
I used my To the Point Edgers dies to cut the kraft layer and the scalloped trim and popped those onto the summer sunrise card base. After stamping the sentiments in the corner, I popped on all of the die cuts and that was that!

Next up, I wanted to go with a more monochromatic look, so I started by stamping my own floral pattern on a strip of white card stock that I mounted to the side of the card. Aren't all of those little layered flowers so cute, all stamped in pinks and reds? You could make some darling Valentine cards with these!
I used the new Nesting Basics: Pierced Ovals to die cut the pink layer after stamping the "Thanks" at the bottom.
Then, I popped on more of those delicious die cuts....golly, I love them!

One more for you....for this one, I started by stamping those cute multi-colored banners, even doing a bit of ink blending on some of the little flags. I was just careful to leave room for my sentiment, when stamping the rows.
I topped the banners with some die cut bows from the set, to finish it off!
Along the bottom, I added a strip of die cut smokey shadow card stock that I cut with the Scalloped Stackers: Medium die.
All righty, friends, that's all for me today, but there's lots more for you to see in the coming days, so I'll be back tomorrow with more!
