Hey Friends!!
As I promised in my Instagram Stories this afternoon, here are a few recent reads for you, that I can recommend! As usual, the following titles are all Christian fiction, but don't think for a second that they'll be boring! While all of these are totally smut-free and safe to share with your grandma (wink!*), the second two titles here, do have some content that's a bit more adult in nature. So you might want to read these first, before sharing with your young teens. You can decide if it's appropriate for them, for yourself. Don't let that scare you from reading these titles for yourself, though! They're GOOD. That's why I'm sharing them here! But at least a couple of these do have some twists and turns in the subject matter that, while absolutely are things that happen in real life, younger readers may not be up for just yet.
Anyway, as always, these have mystery, romance, intrigue.....all sorts of good stuff, without all of the smut! Just my kinda books! :)
1. So first up is True to You (A Bradford Sisters Romance Book #1) by Becky Wade. If you saw my Stories on Instagram today, this is the one I was talking about when I said I just couldn't talk about this one without spoiling the surprise for you, should you happen to read this one! Read the description on Amazon, and then you'll go into this one with the same knowledge that I did.....and then hopefully this one will blow your mind the way it did mine! This one surprised me, which I always feel like is a sign of some really good writing. It was so good, that I already started the next in the series this morning, so stay tuned. I have a feeling that one will show up on my next Book Report post!
2. Next up is The House on Foster Hill by Jaime Jo Wright. This is one of those titles that has a combination of a modern-day story and flashbacks to a story set back in history, so it's kind of the best of both worlds, if you're someone like me who enjoys both modern and historical books. This one is a mystery, but had some twists and turns that caught me by surprise. You know how that thrills me! Haha!
3. And lastly for today, is The Sisters of Sugarcreek by Cathy Liggett. So, I'm not gonna tell you the whole premise of the story here, but let me just say that that the darling cover and the description that one of the main characters inherited a knitting and quilting store, were all I needed to know to be hooked! I mean, just look at that scrumptious yarn on the cover! LOL! I know, I know.....never judge a book by it's cover. But you know what, sometimes I do.....in the same way that I eat first with my eyes! I can't help it, and unless I've missed my mark, I'm guess some of you are the same way! Haha! Anyway, this one reeled me in and I'm glad it did, because gosh, it was good! I hope you enjoy it, too!
I'll be back with more books to share, as soon as I can! Do let me know if you try any of these out! I love hearing that you've read books I recommended and enjoyed them, too! Makes these posts so fun for me to do!
We're gearing up for yet another snow storm overnight tomorrow night into Sunday. You know how it goes....the forecast changes every five minutes. But last I heard, we could get another 6" of snow, so we shall see. A cozy weekend in front of the fire with a good book to read and my handsome man by my side (no doubt, watching sports on tv while I read), as it snows like crazy outside, is just fine by me!
Happy reading, Dearies,
