Hello there!
So I'm back today, with another fun card featuring these amazing new blender brushes from Taylored Expressions! Today, we're showing how to use them with embossing folders. My favorite embossing folder (for the moment - ha!) is the dotted lattice -- I've used it several times in recent weeks -- but look how pretty it is when you add ink over the top of that pretty embossed pattern!!
I ran a piece of white card stock and the embossing folder through the vagabond, and then blended on some pink, red and orange. I cut the panel into three sections, trimming a bit off the top, as well. And then adhered them all on a white card base, with some strips of white showing through. I love that look! It's such an easy way to add some interest to your project!
PRO TIP: Of course you can adhere these panels flat on your card base, but for a bit more dimension and interest, pop all three up with foam adhesive! Remember, your embellishments aren't the only thing you can use foam adhesive on....use it on your backgrounds sometimes, too!
For the giant leaves, I used the same stencil as I did yesterday....just blended a single leaf out of the center of the Mosaic Leaves stencil, and then fussy cut it out. I then had these two great leaves, but wanted to add some interest to them...something to make them POP. So I created the impression of berries, by adding big clusters of jewels!
PRO TIP: If you don't have a focal point stamp or embellishment stamps or die cuts, make your own out of what you have!! I did that here by using the stencil to make my own leaves for the focal point, and I made my own "berries" with a tiny embellishment. By clustering the jewels up, they look bigger than they are if you use just one or two!
I also created my own little sentiment banner with some paper snips for the sentiment from Wild and Free, to finish this one off.
Are you sold on these fun new blender brushes yet? I'll be back tomorrow with one more fun project for you, to give you a bit more inspiration!
