Mornin', Friends! Welcome back for the last day of product reveals for this release at The Greetery! You can purchase these new stamps and dies for yourself, TOMORROW! Woohoo!
I've got another fun stack of cards to share with you today! So excited about these! And you know what else? As I look back at all of the cards I've made for this release, I've used yellow or orange on every. single. one of them! Haha!! I kinda love that! Makin' up for lost time with yellow and orange, I guess!
So one of the new stamp sets being introduced today, is called Pot-Pourri and it is full of pots and plants. And given that we've already established that I'm kind of a {crazy} plant lady, it should come as no surprise that I thoroughly enjoyed stamping a whole host of potted plants! In fact, my birthday is next week, and I'm wondering if it's weird that I'd be happy if everyone just gave me plants this year?? Haha!
Another new item that's coming out tomorrow, is a companion set of dies, called Macro-Made for you (seriously, Betsy thinks of the most clever product names! Haha!). The Macro-Made dies are a set of macrame die cuts and a few pots that all work together perfectly with the images in Pot-Pourri!
I started out by stamping lots of plants and pots, playing around with layering ink colors on the two-step plants, and blending ink colors on the one-step pots. Because all of that was so colorful, I decided to keep the macrame die cuts crisp white, to balance things out.
I blended on a bright pink ink on most of the little sentiment banner, followed by a bit of red ink, and then used the same red to stamp the sentiment (from the new Sentiment Suite Birthday stamp set.
I did the same blending trick with mostly pink and then a bit of red, on a strip at the bottom of the card front. I inked it directly on the white panel. To achieve the straight line, I just put a couple strips of washi tape on the panel, blending on the ink in between them, and then removed the tape. Easy peasy.
PRO TIP: Be careful to not blend above or below the washi, even the slightest little bit, or it'll mess up your lines when you remove the washi. Trust me on this one. It's easier than one might think, to get a little crazy with the blending, if you're in a hurry! Three times. Haha. Ask me how I know! ;)

So, more plants and more pots here. And two more sentiments from Sentiment Suites Birthday. I stamped the sentiments first, and then added the embossing with my new favorite embossing folder.
I blended some orange ink on a strip of white card stock, and then added a strip of thin red washi to accent it. SO easy.
PRO TIP: If you don't have thin washi, just substitute a thin strip of card stock!

One more in this oh-so-fun little card trio! There's a Pot-Pourri flowering cactus image that I love and I thought to myself, "What's better than using one adorable little cactus on a card? SEVEN adorable little cacti on a card!" Haha! I stamped them all in a variety of colors (Yes, I know they wouldn't grow like this in real life, but seriously, life's too short to be so strict and realistic all the time, when you're stamping! Have FUN and think outside the color lines, I say!). After stamping them all, I stacked them all up to create one big old cactus!
I did a bit of the rock and roll technique on the flower pot....inked it up first in a coral ink, and then rolled the top edge of the stamp on a red ink pad, and the bottom edge on an orange one before stamping.
I blended orange, pink and red on a strip of white card stock, and then cut it to create two strips.
PRO TIP: Always blend the whole panel at once, before cutting. This way, you don't have any harsh ink edges in the middle of your two strips. Blending first makes for a perfect, seamless match of the ink on both strips.
The sentiment is one more from Sentiment Suites Birthday.

I don't know about you, but I've sure loved making color coordinating sets of cards this week! They look so pretty when you lay them all out together!
I've got one more fun card for you today, that features the new Sea Scene die! I wanted to show you a fun way to use this new die with some of the images from Pot-Pourri, for a bit more grown-up version of a sea life card!! The house plants look a bit sea-life-ish, when you use them with this underwater die!
I die cut everything from watercolor card stock, and watercolored the Sea Scene die cut as well as a piece of watercolor card stock to go behind it. I used my Zig markers and a water brush for all of that watercoloring.
Then, I stamped a few of the plants from Pot-Pourri on watercolor card stock, with my Altenew inks, and then went over them with a water brush! It blurs everything up just enough, to make them blend in really well with all of the watercolor on the card! I adhered everything together, and added a couple more of those new birthday sentiments to finish it off!
That's all I've got for you for now, but here's a link to today's Greetery blog post! You know it's a fun one!

Tell me, do you like it better when every card in my posts, is a totally different color scheme? Or do you like seeing them in fun little color groupings like the three at the top of this post?
Thanks for chiming in with your preference!
Have a great day!
