Hey, friends!!
Welcome, welcome!! I hope you've got yourself a comfy place to sit and read and maybe even something yummy to sip on! It's time to kick off the big holiday release at The Greetery! We've got lots of reeeeally fun and really beautiful products to introduce to you this month and I can't wait to dive right in!
If you've been following along with me on instagram, then you know that I recently got to go to the Whatever Craft House with some friends, and while we were there, we worked on our projects for this release! You guys, my friends and I have NEVER had the opportunity to sit and craft together for FUN, like we did at the Craft House, and I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it! I got on such a roll crafting, that I made a TON of projects to share with you! You'll see lots and lots later in the week, because I had a few particular favorite new products that I just went to town with! Haha! You'll see what I mean, but for today, I've got a few cards to share with you starting with the Christmas Eve stamp set.
I love this set.....I love that it's called Christmas Eve, and I love that it features a church! I don't know what your Christmas Eve has looked like over the years, but mine has always involved a church service at one point or another during the course of the evening. When I was little, our church had a 10pm service on Christmas Eve. It was a candlelight service and all the little bitty kiddos were there in their jammies. Everyone was just in the most festive mood, and I remember thinking even as a child, that the Christmas Eve candlelight service was my favorite of the whole year. Every year.
Bart and I go to a different church now, and the services are typically more in and around dinner time. Sometimes I'm on the worship team, and am there singing for the services, and sometimes we're just attending the service and then rushing off to dinner with family. But regardless, it's always a part of our Christmas Eve, so this card was a really sweet one to make.
There are several stamps that make up the church building, and create all those gorgeous shadowed effects. Betsy really does a brilliant job designing stamps that make us all look like paper crafty geniuses, thanks to her clever multi-step images! I stamped the trees, the cars, the light post, the church, the banners and the florals (The florals are from a set you'll see later in the week!), and set them all aside while I did a little ink blending with the new Frosty Flakes stencils. Those new blender brushes I've been using (linked below), make blending over stencils SO easy. Like, less than 30 seconds, sort of easy!
After the blending was done, I added all of my die cuts.
Please note that the cars are parked in the church parking lot, along the side of the building, under the street light. They backed in, so they could beat the rush and get out quickly to get to Christmas Eve dinner! Hahaaaa!!

Next up, how about that snowflake blending on the envelope?! You're gonna have to wait a bit longer for more info about that!
In the meantime, I used the new Fir & Foliage No. 2 stamps and dies, to cut out these three trees, and then used some of the images from the new Tree Trimmings stamp set, to put star ornaments and toppers on my trees!
The sentiment is from Tree Trimmings, as well.
Then, along the bottom of the card, I used the new Drifting dies, to cut out some white card stock strips, that I blended a bit of aqua ink on, for the perfect snowy finishing touch!
SIDE NOTE: I have a little color suggestion for you....if you've been pondering trying some ink from Taylored Expressions, do yourself a favor and let the color you choose to try, be Dijon! It's the best warm mustard gold color I've found, and it's just so versatile and hard-working. If you check my supply lists lately, you're gonna find a lot of Dijon mixed in here and there, because it goes with so much. And I think you'll find that even if you don't make it the absolute star of the show, in terms of the colors on any given card, it's just such a great supporting character, because of it's ability to play so well with so many other colors. Just keep an eye out on my projects, and I think you'll see what I mean. I'd insert a puffy red heart emoji here, if I could. Dijon is a great color (my favorite from TE!) that I keep reaching for again and again! :)

One more for today! So, I started with a teal piece of card stock, and stamped another of the sentiments from Tree Trimmings on it.
Next, I used the new Frosty Corners dies, to cut out these snowflake corners and accents! I adhered them with some liquid glue and popped the whole panel up on an avocado card base.
I added a few more die cut snowflakes from the same Frosty Corners set, to accent the sentiment, and lastly, added some gold splatters.
One of the new products I tried while I was at the Craft House with friends, is the gold paint I used here for the splatters. I literally just got a wet paint brush, swirled it around in one of the gold paints in the set, and tapped the brush over my card, to get the tiny little gold splatters you see here. It might not look like much in the pictures, but in real life, it's just the perfect bit of shimmer to set it off.
I linked the gold paint for you below. It's definitely on my wish list now and it looks like Amazon has a deal on it!
