Hey friends!
Welcome to day 1 of the November mini-release at The Greetery! I'm so thrilled to have you joining me today, because there are some gorgeous new products coming out in this release, that I can't wait to show you! In fact, this first card features several new items, so let me tell you all about them!
This gorgeous new wintery floral is called Pine Blossom and it is so much fun to stamp all of the flowers in different color combinations! I've barely scratched the surface on all the things I'd like to make with this set! I just ran out of time! I die cut and stamped a whole pile of pretties and then used several on this card.
There is one large floral cluster included in the set, and I've used it here, as well as a few of the individual blooms and stems added on top and tucked in from behind.
The floral spray is layered on a piece of green card stock that was die cut with one of the new Nordic Frames dies.....there are three different frame dies in the set, and I used the middle frame here. On that layer, I stamped a Christmas sentiment that is just one of several included in the Pine Blossom stamp set.
Behind the focal point, I used the new Berry Branch Stencil, to add an aqua pattern on the white card base. Such a fun and fast way to add some pretty detail without a lot of fuss or effort!

Next up, I used more of the same elements that you saw on the first card, including another of those large floral clusters from Pine Blossom with multiple smaller bits and bobs tucked in here and there.
This time around, I used the smallest Nordic Frame die to cut out the white layer, and added a sentiment -- another from Pine Blossom.
And once again, on the card base, I used that same Berry Branch stencil, this time just along the bottom of the card, and fading away under the focal point.

One more for you today.....on this one, I used the largest Nordic Frame Die, to cut out the red card stock layer and stamped another Pine Blossom sentiment at the bottom.
Then, I used the fun new Inside & Out Berry Branch die, to cut out ALL of the die cut layers you see here! This one die cuts out the white outline layer you see, as well as all the bits that are inside that outline (Hence, "Inside & Out"), so you get more bang for your die cut buck!
You can use just the outline layer, just the inside bits or use both together like I did. Lots of options with this one die!
As you can see, I kept the outline layer white, however I used my TE ink blending brushes to blend ink on the inside bits, before glueing them all on the card front.
PRO TIP: Die cut a second set of Inside & Out Berry Branch, but before you pop all of those intricate little stems and such out of the outline, do your ink blending FIRST! The extra layer around the outside of those stems and leaves, gives them more stability, so they don't get all bent up while blending the ink on top. Then, you can pop them out of that (now colored) outline, and either use that outline somewhere else, or just toss it if it gets too muddy with overlapping color.

I nearly forgot, I've got a little bonus project to show you! This one's so easy, though, there's hardly any work involved!
The Greetery is coming out with Speed Tagging Prints paper this release, and it's gorgeous! It's a set of pages full of pre-printed gift tags that fit the Speed Tagging Die, so all you do is run the paper through the die cutting machine with your Speed Tagging die, and voila! A whole set of tags ready for sentiments! I just pulled out the Speed Tagging Sentiment set, to stamp some sentiments on all the tags, and then added twine! Just to make them look even more festive and boutique-y, I doubled up on some of the tags and tied smaller ones onto larger ones for a layered look.
PRO TIP: Die cut your tags BEFORE stamping the sentiments, to avoid accidentally stamping where of any of the perforated details on the tags will be, once the tags are cut. Look at the little green tag at the bottom of the pic above, to see an example of how I did NOT do what I just told you to do. Hahaha! I stamped all of the sentiments first, and then die cut them all, and the result is that I didn't know when stamping, just where that little perforated line was going to be, and it ran into my sentiment a bit. Learn from my mistakes, friends! lol!
I think that aqua tag w/berries is my favorite from the whole set, but gosh, there are so many that are really detailed and gorgeous! And of course, you can add even more stamped bits to layer up your tags, or you can add glitter or other embellishments, if you want to jazz them up even more. But truly, they're so gorgeous, they don't need a thing other than a sentiment!
PRO TIP: Create a few sets of these tags, tuck them in pretty little glassine bags topped with one of these cutie tags and a bow or some twine, and give them away as sweet little gifts to coworkers, family or friends. Everyone needs a pretty gift tag sooner or later!
