Hey again, Friends!!
We're back for Day 2 of the Love Letters Collection release at The Greetery (available on Friday!!) and I couldn't WAIT to share with you today! Good golly, I had SO much fun with these new goodies! Seriously. So. much. fun! Let's dive in!
Ok, so first up is this GORGEOUS new stamp set called Sketchbook Roses and I love it. Like, I LOVE it-love it. I love it because of how versatile it is! You saw peeks of it several times yesterday as a subtle background, but wowza! Would you look at it as the star of the show?!!
So here's the deal. You can stamp that outline and use it alone. You can stamp that outline and watercolor it or add color with any other medium of choice. OR, you can stamp the outline and then stamp the interiors with the shading images!! Yes, shading images!! It's probably most obvious to see it here, on the pink and red flowers.....see how there's the pink bit and the red bit? That's two different stamps. And each flower and leaf cluster has two images for the color. So technically, you could even just fill in with one image and not even add the second shading stamp if you didn't want. See what I mean? Options. I love that.
So again on the background, I stamped that fabulous new Windowpane Plaid....on the diagonal again. But you can stamp it straight if you'd prefer. Other than that, this card literally consists of one giant focal image and the sentiment tags! Easy peasy but MAJOR impact, yes?
For the sentiments, I used the Addressed dies and sentiments from the new Sentiment Suite: Love. Lastly, I finished it off with a few gems from the Park Lane line at JoAnn's.

Hello, Beautiful is right!!
So, one of the little process videos I created for you over on Instagram, includes the die cuts you see here....notice how some of them are stamped in black, and some are stamped in a gray outline? You can create subtle differences like that, when layering the die cuts, for a bit of added interest. But as I share over on instagram, those little nuances are sometimes what can turn an ok card into a WOW card.
I only used two of the Sketchbook Roses die cuts to create this card. I just trimmed them off the edges of the card, and used the leftover bits in other spots to fill out the 'framed' look.
See above, how the top layer has a gray outline and the bottom has a black outline. Of course, you can stamp them all the same, but it's sometimes fun to see how those subtle differences can change up the look of your layers!
On the white card base, I just blended on a bit of ink with my Taylored Expressions blending brushes...love those things! (I showed you how I do that, on my Instagram Stories a week or so ago, in case you caught it!) And then topped them with die cuts from the new Let's Have a Word: Beautiful die set and a few more of those Park Lane gems in a pretty red color!
{Hello Beautiful supplies}

Last one for today! This one features the new Botanicuts Rose dies as well as the new Written in Ribbons stamps & dies!
I cut all of the Botanicuts Roses leaf and flower layers from watercolor card stock, and then watercolored them with my Zig markers and a water brush (linked below). When all the layers were dry, I glued everything together. I'll be sharing a quick peek into my watercolor process for these layers, on the gram today!
Of course on the background there, you can see a bit of Sketchbook Roses image peeking out! I rarely use bright yellow in stamping, but this is a really fun way to work it in -- as a subtle background and big sentiment -- so that it brightens the card without overpowering it!
I pulled out the little Cozy Cup Coaster die, to cut out the kraft layer, which created the perfect little landing spot for the Written in Ribbons sentiment. Each of the large ribbon words or phrases has two step stamps, so you can get that great multi-colored effect! Just use two colors from the same family, one slightly lighter and one darker, to create this look!
