Hey, Friends! Welcome back for one more day of projects featuring the new Fall release goodies from The Greetery! I couldn't resist whipping up FIVE bonus cards for today, with lots of extra die cuts I had laying around my desk! If you caught my Stories on Instagram on Wednesday, then you saw my tips for putting some of these cards together. Once I started actually assembling these cards, they practically made themselves! Love this type of crafting!
First up, I LOVE how the new Square Dance die looks when you layer more than one die cut together! This concept is similar to what I did with one of the Square Dance stencils the other day.....layering the squares just slightly shifted one way or another creates this really fun geometric pattern.
PRO TIP: I only did two Square Dance die cut layers here, but you could of course try this with 3 or 4 of the die cuts! Just think of all the color possibilities!!
I used die cuts from Mimosa Musings as my focal point here, and then added a simple sentiment strip for my "thanks". (I'm still cranking out as many thank you cards as I can, to have on hand for shipping out with artwork as it sells!)

Next up is a ridiculously simple card to make, but gosh, I love the colors! The funky mustard color really takes it up a notch from basic to really unexpected and fun!
This time on the Square Dance background, I popped the whole die cut up on the card front with some foam adhesive. It adds some major dimension and interest!!
PRO TIP: Don't forget the twine! When using a tag of any kind, if it's got a hole at the top, don't forget to "finish it off" by tying SOMEthing in the little hole! Whether it's twine, thin yarn, or even embroidery floss, you have a really great opportunity to add an extra bit of detail and some soft texture, by tying some sort of bow or knot or even just leaving the ends hanging loose, like I did here.
I popped more mimosa branches on a die cut tag from Speed Tagging.

So, for this card, I grabbed a piece of white card stock that I'd stamped a floral pattern on awhile back. I added some plaid over the top of the floral, in a turquoise color that coordinated with some of the florals in my arrangement. I purposely didn't press super hard on the plaid stamp, so the lines would be a bit spotty, which added to the vintage feel. Stamping that extra bit of pattern on pattern, really brought this background to life! All of a sudden, it has a really sweet vintage wallpaper feel.....and you know how I feel about things like that!! LOVE!
The pitcher is, of course, from Pitcher-esque and it's got some images from Mimosa Musings, Blessed Blooms and All Blessings Flow. Once again, I love how so many stamp sets from The Greetery can be mixed and matched! It just makes them SO versatile!
For the sentiment, I die cut a little piece of aqua card stock with one of the tags from Sentiment Suite: Basics, and stamped it with a sentiment from the companion Sentiment Suite: Thank You set.
PRO TIP: When using a little tag like I did here, placement was KEY! I made sure to tuck the right edge entirely under the pitcher, so it looks like it's coming out from behind the pitcher. If I'd scooted it to the left too much, you'd have seen part of the right edge of the tag hanging out under the pitcher, which would have looked kind of sloppy. HOWEVER, I also made sure to keep the left edge of the tag entirely over the kraft card stock. If that cute little tag edge had been hanging over the busy background pattern, some of that cute tag detail would have been visually muddied by the busy background. And if it'd been hanging partly over the kraft and partly over the white background edge, the same would have happened. It would have looked a bit sloppy and that cute tag edge detail would have been somewhat lost. Having that little "v" tag edge sticking out over the kraft card stock allows the tag detail to really stand out! You know what they say....location, location, location! Paying attention to those tiny details is what will take your cards to the next level!

On this next one, I used the Fresh Floral background stamp with a super light gray ink on the kraft card base, to give a bit of added interest with a very subtle pattern.
At the top of the tag, I tied on some thin yarn from my stash. (Yarn Bee from Hobby Lobby)
I used the new Square Dance stencils with some pink and orange ink, to create an ink blended plaid pattern. And then to add some additional detail, I stamped the Windowpane Plaid background stamp over the top. I die cut a Speed Tagging tag from the panel and voila! Plaid tag!
I layered some Bittersweet Bouquet branches on the tag, tucked behind a thank you sentiment strip. This thank you is from Sprinkled With Kindness.

One more for today....on this one, I used the new Shiplap Builder die to add the shiplap boards at the bottom. I drug the edges through a dark gray ink pad before popping them on the card. I LOVE the definition that gray adds!
I also love the yellows on this pitcher!
PRO TIP: To achieve a really pretty texture on your pitcher (or any image with a large solid surface), grab your ink CUBES! I tap-tap-tapped all over the pitcher image with an ink cube and then stamped while there were still little lines from the cube edges, all over the stamp! Typically, if you want to smooth out those lines, you'd just tap a blending brush over the stamp after you've inked it and before you stamp. But if you like this look, EMBRACE THOSE LINES and stamp away! I love how, in this case, it almost adds a fabric-y linen-like texture to the pitcher!
I used more mixed branches and twigs from Mimosa Musings, All Blessings Flow and Bittersweet Bouquet here, to finish off the focal point!
I did the same technique as before, on the plaid here. I used the Square Dance stencil to blend on the gray plaid and then stamped some Windowpane Plaid over the top. I just love the extra bit of detail!
