Hey, Friends! I'm back with lots more new product to show you, from the Fall release at The Greetery!
There are so many fun things to share with you today, it's hard to decide where to start!
Let's go straight to these cutie pie mushrooms because CAN. YOU. EVEN?!
I started out by using the previously released Fresh Floral Background stamp with some versamark ink, on that dark background, just to give some interest and a subtle pattern. But I purposely didn't press super hard, so it'd be spotty and a little worn looking.
I paired the mushrooms with the new Mimosa Musings stamps, which I am in LOVE with! How fun are those little puffball flowers?! We don't have mimosa plants (trees?) here, or if we do, I've never seen them. So I feel all kinds of freedom to stamp these in any color combos I want! Haha! But technically, if you google mimosa, they do come in several different color combos, which is so fun!
As for these mushrooms, they're ridiculously cute! These were made with the new BotaniCuts Toadstool Garden dies. You could totally cut them out of solid colored card stock, but I cut mine from white card stock and blended the color on with my ink blending brushes! I totally recommend this and here's why....
PRO TIP: The red part of the mushroom you see above, is one die cut that layers over the top of a second die cut. By blending the colors on myself, I was able to blend a little tan onto the striped under-portion of the mushroom, while leaving the top of that piece white, so that the white dots really pop when you layer the red on top. If you die cut from colored card stock, you lose a bit of the ability to have the dots section be a different color than the under section. Does that make sense?
And of course, you also have the ability to add all kinds of shading to the mushrooms. It just adds a more realistic touch.
I added some teal card stock strips that I die cut with one edge of a Postal Frames die and then dragged the edges through some darker ink before roughing them up a bit with my finger, bending the "scallops" forward in places. It just adds kind of an earthy feel under the base of those cute mushrooms.

Next up, I used the new BotaniCuts Mighty Oak to cut out that fun branch and acorns! I just cut the various pieces from solid colored card stock and glued them all together!
I used a Knit Wits stencil on the background panel and then tucked one little edge of a Postal Frames die cut out the side.
PRO TIP: I love having a little chunk of a die cut sticking out from behind the background! Such a fun extra bit of detail!
This BotaniCuts Mighty Oak die cut is so detailed, it's super fun to put together, and really easy, too! I just cut from solid colored card stock and glued it together, but you could easily cut from white card stock and do lots of fun ink blending on this one!
I tucked the branch in one of the new Pitcher-esque pitchers.....gosh, I love that pitcher!! Look at all that realistic detail when you stamp all three layers!
The sentiment is one from the new Blessed Blooms stamp set!

And speaking of Blessed Blooms, I used lots of little flower bits and bobs from the set, to tuck into this pitcher, along with a big Mimosa Musings branch!
And that pitcher......gah! Seriously, is it not soooo pretty in greens??! I love it so much!
The whole thing is layered on a Postal Frames die cut....I love the fun contrast of colors on this one!
PRO TIP: Remember that a "fall card" doesn't have to automatically mean all warm tones in orange and brown or pumpkins everywhere! Think outside the box when creating some fall cards this year! It's fun!
This sentiment is another from Sentiment Suite: Thank You.

One more for today....this one just screams late summer/early Fall to me! I used the Windowpane Plaid stamp on the kraft card base, and I love the cozy Fall touch it adds here.....like a worn in flannel shirt!
This sentiment is from the previously released Bountiful Wreath stamp set....it was just perfect in this spot on the Postal Frames die cut.
I tucked some blooms and branches and such from Mimosa Musings and Blessed Blooms in the pitcher....I love how well they all work together!
And on my continued quest to stamp the perfect ironstone-looking pitcher, using all three layers of this 3-step image - haha! - I tried again! This time, I used a super soft gray on both of the bottom layers, and then used a soft tan on the top shading detail layer.
The thing is, ironstone is white in real life.....which is kinda hard to stamp! LOL! But I think this comes pretty close! What do you think?? :)
This is the whole group of cards for this release.....so pretty all together, aren't they?
