Hello there! It's time for the holiday release at The Greetery and as usual, you're in for a treat, because there are so many great new products in this release! I used several new items on this first card and I'm excited to tell you all about it!
Of course, right off the bat, you might have guessed that sentiment is the new Written in Ribbons Holiday stamp set! Those big, scripty words are just so pretty and easy to use. I used a couple of the companion stamps from the set, to complete the sentiment.
I also used the darling new Merry Sprigs stamps and dies to create all the little floral bits and bobs. I added some enamel dots to the centers of a few to finish them off, and give them an extra bit of pizzazz....this is for Christmas, after all! Haha!
Everything is anchored on some super fun new Wood Slices, which are a new set of dies! I die cut them from white card stock, and then blended on some inks with blending brushes. I love the color variations you get when you blend on the ink, which makes them look more realistic than if I'd just cut them from colored card stock.
PRO TIP: If you blend on a light, kraft type color of ink and feel it's a bit too "pink" as mine was, just take a bit of gold/yellow ink and blend lightly over the top. I used "Curry" here and it warmed the tan color right up!
I just love the floral clusters and sprays you can create with all these greens and flowers!

Next up is a really fun winter florals set, called Merry Sprigs! It's a fun one, thanks to the multi-step images, which of course, let you play with layering ink colors. Something I always love!
I die cut lots of the various images from the set, and then arranged them all around the front of the card, creating a frame. I popped all of those little die cuts up with foam adhesive, and then trimmed off the excess from each die cut, all the way around the card front.
The sentiment is from Merry Sprigs, and I stamped it directly on the card base. This is really a pretty simple card to make, but packs a big punch, thanks to all that dimension and texture!

Last year, I made a set of blue Christmas cards that were a big hit, so I've been using the blues again this year, and having so much fun!
For this card, I used the new Banner & Bough stamps, dies & stencils. How gorgeous is that huge floral die cut?! The dies include that large die, as well as individual dies for all those little sprigs, so you have lots of options with this set. These are the kind of sprigs perfect for tucking onto nearly any Christmas card, to give them that extra little sumpin-sumpin!
For the card base, I used white card stock and added a layer of super sparkly glitter paper!
PRO TIP: To make the glitter paper really POP, layer it on a dark color! To achieve this on my white card base, I just blended some dark blue ink around the edge of the card front! That dark blue serves as a perfect frame so that sparkle paper really jumps off the card!
I die cut the large cluster, as well as the banner, and then used the Banner & Bough stencils, along with four blue inks, to blend all of the color onto the die cuts! Easy peasy!
After all the ink blending, I stamped the sentiment on the banner.
I added a few clear enamel dots to the flower centers, and I love how they just reflect the blue color! So pretty!
