Hello there and welcome! It's day 2 of Winter Wanderer goodness at The Greetery! I hope you've been enjoying all of the inspiration so far! Today is a FUN one, so get comfy! I'm excited to chat about these new goodies and the cards I made with them! Be sure to read all the way to the end, because I need to tell you about the Black Friday SALE AT THE GREETERY!! Their sales don't happen often, so you won't want to miss this one!!
First up, I used the Boho Banner dies to create this fuuuuuuun fringe-y banner! Doesn't it remind you of the boho yarn banners that are floating around Pinterest and Instagram?!
I die cut the banner base, and then lots of layers of fringe all from Boho Banner!
PRO TIP: The fringe dies are super detailed, so for best results, you're probably going to want to add some extra shims to your die cutting machine sandwich. I'm using a vagabond, so in my case, I used a metal shim, as well as 6 or 8 layers of copy paper. I added in those layers just a couple at a time, so as not to overtax my machine, until I got the right thickness for those fringe layers to cut out well.
I cut the branch at the top, out of white card stock and then blended some brown ink on it, to give it a more realistic branch feel.
PRO TIP: When I adhered all those fringe layers, I only added glue along the top so they'd all hang freely. Then, I pulled them all forward gently, just a bit, to give them a bit more "movement". They're so fun in real life!
To accent the top of the banner, I added a couple floral elements from the new Hoop Wreath set (seen yesterday), as well as a few of the feathers from the Boho Banner die set. I let the feathers sort of serve as colorful leaves!
The sentiment is from a new stamp set that I LOVE, called Opposites Attract. I see myself using this one a LOT in the future! It's a good one with a really fun font combo!
PRO TIP: For a really fun two-tone sentiment like you see on the "hello" above, ink up half of the stamp along the straight edge of your ink pad, and then repeat with another color on the other half of the sentiment. Then BEFORE YOU STAMP, grab an ink blending brush and tap-tap-tap along that line where the two colors meet! It'll blend that color out a bit and give you a gradual fade between colors, without an icky, harsh line!

Next up is another new sentiment set that I just love so much! It's called Simply Wonderful and it is just that! This big "wonderful" sentiment, along with companion sentiments, make up this set and the sentiment can really be the star of the show with this one. It's a good one!
I layered a panel of pink card stock on a white card base that had been stamped with the Fresh Floral background stamp.
I then used another new set called Bigger Blooms to create these florals! Do they look familiar?! They're big versions of the same smaller florals you saw yesterday, in the Hoop Wreath set!
I used a sparkle pen, to add a bit of shimmer to the flower centers.
(Can you just picture mixing these jumbo flowers with their smaller counterparts, for a floral explosion?!)
I really wanted to keep this card entirely monochromatic, so I stamped the leaves in red and the flowers in pink topped with red.
PRO TIP: I've shared this one before, but remember that your leaves don't have to always be green! Make them whatever color you need them to be, to achieve the design you're going for!!
{have a wonderful birthday supplies}
Lastly for today, is a fun and funky card in teals and greens! I love this retro-esque color palette paired with all the fun macrame detail! There are three new Macrame die sets that can all be used alone or together, and I used elements from each here!
The darling sentiment is another from Opposites Attract. Isn't it cute?!
I used the new Macrame Openwork Base die, to cut out the lines on the teal layer of card stock, and layered some olive green card stock behind it, so it shows through the slats. Next, I used the Macrame Diamonds die, to add the green diamond strip at the top, and then used the Macrame Borders & Tassels dies to add the green border and tassels at the bottom, as well as the olive details on the diamonds above. There are literally a ZILLION mix and match options with these dies! Like, you could make patterns for days and days and not run out of options!
{thank you so very much supplies}
