Hey, Friends! Welcome back for the second day of product introductions for the new Nature Lovers Collection at The Greetery! Above is a quick look at the projects I'll be sharing today.....I just love seeing them in photos together! Haha!
There is a darling new BotaniCuts die set coming out this month.....Forget-Me-Nots! I love these so much!! We grew Chinese Forget-me-nots this past year, for the first time, and I fell in LOVE with those tiny blue flowers! The tiny blue blooms are SUCH a surprising and charming addition to literally any summer bouquet! I paired them with zinnias and dahlias in vintage ball canning jars, all summer long! You may have seen those on my Instagram last summer! Can't wait to do that again this year!
ANYway, for the first time I used these dies, I had to make them in the traditional Forget-me-not blue and yellow and white colors. BUT, let me assure you that you can do a whole lot more than just this with these little blooms and I intend to prove it to you, if you'll come back here tomorrow for my Release Bonus Post!! I've used these in a couple more ways! Wait and see!
So, I die cut all the little layers from white card stock, and then used blender brushes to color them. This is literally SUCH a fast process, and the fun part is that you get some variation in the color, which creates lots of interest, just by changing the pressure with which you blend on the color. Lighten up your hand for a lighter shade. Push a little harder on the brush, to go a little darker.
You might also notice some stamped blooms and leaves in here....those are from the new Lovely Blossoms stamp set. More about that in a bit.
How fun is this pocket I created?! I used the Boho Banner die, to cut out a banner that I turned into a pocket!
PRO TIP: I'm guessing this one is super obvious, but die cut that same banner from blue card stock and create your own denim pocket. Or die cut it from some striped paper and make it look like a men's shirt pocket. I could go on but you get the idea! Fun and easy pockets!
The sentiment is from the new Lovely Blossoms set. It's a good one!

Ok, and speaking of pockets....! I used the new Jumbo Posy Pockets die here, to create a fun heart-shaped pocket! So the die creates the pocket for you....it's the kraft layer you see here. You simply die cut a bi-fold heart and fold the two leaf flaps in, closing up the pocket. I adhered mine just along the bottom of each flap, so I could tuck something inside.
For my pocket, I wanted to add another pop of color peeking out (I know you're all shocked by this! LOL!), so I used the same die, to cut out a pink pocket, and simply trimmed off the two flaps so all that was left was the back layer. I tucked that pink layer into my kraft pocket, adhering it so it sticks up a bit.
In the pocket, I created a simple little arrow tag from white card stock. You can see it in the photo above, laying above the card.
PRO TIP: Creating this arrow tag is super easy to do. Cut a strip of card stock and stamp your sentiment. Trim one end into a point, and trim the bottom in a 'v' to complete the arrow. Just be sure the bottom lines run parallel with the lines that make the top point.
I used the new Lovely Blossoms stamp set to stamp the jumbo floral cluster you see peeking out of the pocket. And then, I added in some more of those cutie-pie forget-me-nots.
I also added some plaid texture to the background with a white-on-white die cut.
One final touch on my posy pocket, was to stamp the "from me to you" from Lovely Blossoms. This stamp is a straight stamp, but I curved it a bit on the stamp block, to follow the curve on the heart.
