Hey, Friends! How was your weekend? I hope you had some fun and got some good rest, too! It's a shiny new week and it's a fun one, at that, because today kicks off the Spring Market sneak peeks at The Greetery! So many fun new stamps and dies coming this month! Can't wait to show you! I've got lots of tips for you, too, so let's jump right in!
First up, I don't know if you saw my sneak peak on Instagram on Friday, of these backgrounds, but this is a new Delightful Digits die and I want to make these backgrounds in every color combo I could possibly dream up!! Holy smokes, I'm not sure I've ever loved a background die more!
Use it for birthdays, anniversaries or, whatever else you can dream up. Here, I used it to make a really cute graduation card!
Seriously, look at all the detail on that background die!! Wait till you see what else I've made with it in the coming days!!
I also used the new Bold Numbers dies to cut out the 2021, and paired it with the new Digits Sentiments set for the "class of". I also added the new Let's Have a Word: Congrats die, cut out from my favorite glitter cardstock.
To finish things off, I used the new Alphabuds Bold Floral Details stamps and dies, to add the little floral accents.

Next up, is a card that I decided I might as well make more than one of, because there are a ton of people I could send this one to!
PRO TIP: If you have a focal point you love, try changing up the orientation of your focal point, to create sets of cards that are coordinating but not exact. This comes in especially handy if you want to make sets of cards to give away as gifts!
For these cards, I used the new Bold Alpha dies to create my sentiment, and then added lots of Alphabuds Bold Floral Details die cuts, as accents.
PRO TIP: When die cutting alphas, go ahead and cut them from several different colors all at once! Then, you can sit down to create, without having to get up and die cut one more "e" or one last "s" or whatever! You'll be able to just create and have fun!
I also used a new background stamp here, that you'll get a better look at tomorrow!
PRO TIP: When stamping these Alphabuds Bold Florals, go ahead and stamp all your stems first. I'm guessing you're likely to use a green ink or two, whereas the colors of your flowers may vary widely. While you have the green ink out, go ahead and stamp all the stems and then you can swap out your inks as often as you need to for the flowers. It'll save you having to keep grabbing your green ink over and over.

Ok, one more for today! This one features the new Always In Bloom Stamps and dies, as well as the Quick Card Stencils: Always in Bloom.
I used the stencils to add some simple depth to my die cut flower arrangement, and I went ahead and stenciled the BLOOM as well, and then off-set the BLOOM die cut, so the stenciled version could act as a shadow!
PRO TIP: When stamping the top layer of the BLOOM, look at the OO to line everything up! Easy peasy, when you look at the OOs!
PRO TIP: Don't be afraid to change punctuation when needed, to suit your design! The stamp reads, "where life plants you" followed by a period. As in, "Bloom where life plants you." However, since I wanted to put part of the sentiment at the top of the card, I used a red gel pen to change the period to a comma! "Where life plants you, BLOOM"
And lastly, here's a color tip for you!
PRO TIP: When layering ink colors, you can create a cohesive look by using the same base color, while changing up the top ink layers. If you look above at all the pink flowers, they're all stamped first with the same pink ink, and then I topped them with different colors -- a curry color in one case and red on the other. It changes the look of the flowers so they're not all the same, and it even changes the look of the pink a bit, and yet keeps the overall color palette really cohesive.
