In case you haven't seen the news yet on Instagram, I'm so excited to tell you that I'm launching a brand new website/online shop next week, for my art business! You'll be able to shop my original paintings as well as my first ever giclée fine art prints!
A giclée print is a specific type of print. But Giclée is just a fancy French term meaning "a technology for fine art or photograph reproduction using a high-quality inkjet printer to make individual copies."
Standard inkjet prints are made using dye-based inks. However, Giclée fine art prints are made using pigment-based inks and have the sharpest detail and highest resolution, displaying a full-color spectrum. Giclée prints capture every shade of an original work....or as close to that, as we can get! The combination of the high quality archival paper and pigment-based inks we're using, ensures print life of 100 years or more, with proper care!
My new website will launch next Thursday, October 28 at noon CDT, for the general public. However, all shop email subscribers will receive an early access password in their inboxes next week, allowing them to shop THREE HOURS before anyone else! Early access shopping will begin at 9am CDT on Thursday! This means that subscribers will get first dibs on all one-of-a-kind original paintings, including my brand new Fresh Flowers collection that's releasing that morning! Plus, subscribers will be able to get their orders in first, for art prints! No risk of running out of those, because we're printing them to order, right here in house! But, orders will be fulfilled in the order they come in, so you'll have the opportunity to get yours in first, if you'd like!
Artwork also makes lovely gifts!! And with Christmas quickly approaching, you might consider a painting or a print to help you check some gifts off your shopping list this year! There are many options in the shop to choose from, depending on your style and color preferences, as well as your budget!
