Hey, Friends! It's release day at The Greetery, which means at 10am EST, you'll be able to start shopping for all of the darling new Confections products!
I wanted to make a couple more cards to share with you, and honestly, I still have ideas rattling around in my brain, but we'll save those for another day. For today, I knew I wanted to use some sweet little blossoms along with the new BotaniCuts: Strawberry dies, and the ones from Lemon Blossom are just perfect!
PRO TIP: I wanted to stamp some yellow flowers but didn't have just the right combination of yellows for layering, so I used my old stand-by trick. I've shared this one before, but I used the same color of ink to stamp both layers on these little yellow flowers. I just stamped the first layer off on scratch paper first, before stamping it on the flower. And then for the detail layer, I stamped it at full strength. I love this trick because it stretches your ink stash and gives you lots more colors to work with, and also because your layers of flower details are guaranteed to color coordinate every time, because you're literally using the same ink!
For the strawberries, I die cut them from pink and green colored card stocks, and then added a bit of shading with a blending brush. This method couldn't be faster!
I went with a really fun color combo this time.......it kind of reminds me of the 70's! I stamped the "happy birthday" from the new All Kinds of Happy, on the layers I cut out with the Frosted Frames die.
Side note: Let me just apologize right now.....I may be forced to use that scalloped border on every card I make from here on out! LOL! I love it!

This one has a bit of an 80's sort of color combo! LOL! For this one, you may notice that two of the scalloped border layers are leftovers from the previous card! You really can make a zillion-and-one different color combinations with those three pieces!
For this one, I used the Piped Sentiments: Sweet dies to cut out the 'sweet' and stamped a companion sentiment from Sweet Tooth.
I piled on a few more stamped sweets from Sweet Tooth and that was that! So fun!
