Ok, so let's talk cards! I told you yesterday, that the new Garden Gear: Gloves could be die cut from solid colors of card stock and be every bit as cute as the floral versions!! I mean, you could do them in any fun, cheery color combo you could dream up, or you could even do them in totally neutral, earthy colors, too! Tan w/brown, Army green with tan, etc. You get the idea!
So, on this first card, I used the little "elastic" die cut on the back of the gloves but didn't add the little heart tags. Super basic and simple and fast -- but STILL so darling!
I used the new Seed Packet background stamp -- which you know I LOVE.
PRO TIP: Stamp it off on scratch paper first, before stamping on your card stock, for even more of a vintage feel! Also, when you DO stamp it on your card stock, don't press super hard and you'll get even more of a worn, vintage look. That looks especially pretty on this type of a stamp that already has a vintage feel to it.
Those tools are just ridiculously cute! Made them with the new Garden Gear: Tools dies and the In Spades stamp set. Such a fun card, yes?!
Also, this pair of cards is another that I purposely chose to leave the sentiment off of. That way, all summer long, I can pull these out and use them any time I need to say thank you or just send a note of encouragement to someone.

Now, note that on these gloves, I also added the little tags, as well as the "elastic" bit. Personally, I think the heart tags are always a good idea! Haha! But you know, just showing you on that first card, that even without them, the gloves are still stinkin' cute!
Also, note that on these gloves, I used one of the companion stencils to add the shading on the fingers and wrist. It's just another quick little touch that adds some fast detail, without having to go all out on the the florals!
I used the Seed Packet background stamp again, but with tone-on-tone ink so it's super soft and subtle.
And those tools....oh my word, the endless possibilities of color combinations makes my color-loving heart so happy! These are FUN to work with!
