Hey, Friends! It's Day 2 of the 3rd Anniversary release at The Greetery! I can't wait for you to see everything today! Holy cow, it's all so cute!! As an avid gardener, I have a pair of floral gardening gloves! So when I saw these new Garden Gear: Gloves (and Tools...keep reading!), it was love at first sight!
There are Garden Gear: Gloves dies and stencils, so you can literally make your gloves in any color combo you can dream up! (Oh, and come back tomorrow! I'll show you how cute they are even when just die cut from solid colored card stock!!)
For the background, I used a GORGEOUS new background stamp called Seed Catalog! It has such a beautiful vintage feel. I love it so much and will likely be using it on a LOT!
So, I die cut and stenciled the gloves and added the little detail die cuts! Don't skip that step -- it makes them ridiculously cute! Haha! Did you spot the little heart tags down at the wrist?!
The sentiment is from the In Spades stamp set.

For this one, I used all the same glove goodness, but this time, I used some red colored pencils, to add some shading and detail to the flowers. SO easy, but it just adds another layer of detail.
The greenery is from the new Plucked die set, which features some simple greens and a dandelion. I die cut them from white card stock, added some color with ink and blending brushes and they were done! Really simple but so fun!
Those little tags on the gloves, get me every time! :)
I chose to skip the sentiment on this one. I find that I sometimes need a blank notecard and as I've been flipping through my card stash lately, I don't have many. Often, I'll pull out a darling card with the wrong type of sentiment on it and think, "Man, I wish I'd skipped the sentiment on this one!" So, here's a PRO TIP: Skip the sentiment now and then! You'll thank yourself later! Haha!

Next up is the new Garden Gear: Tools die and the companion In Spades stamp set and stencil. Good grief, how cute are these?! What I do NOT have in real life, are floral gardening tools.....but I'd sure love it if I did! Haha! Thank goodness, I can create some stinkin' cute paper versions at the very least!
For the background, I used the new Seed Catalog Background Stamp again, this time with just a clear embossing ink. This makes the pattern soft and subtle, but still adds some really pretty interest to the background! LOVE!
PRO TIP: You could also create a similar look, but with a bit more depth of color, by stamping the same color of ink on it's coordinating card stock. The result will be tone-on-tone like this, but a bit more saturated color.
For the tools, I cut all the pieces from white card stock and blended on ink on the handles and stenciled the florals on the tools. I followed the stencils up with some detail stamps. The sentiment is another from In Spades.
I couldn't resist tying on some simple baker's twine to finish them off with a bit of a realistic touch! So fun, right?

Ok, how sweet is this card?! Obviously for the background, I used the Seed Catalog again....this time a little darker green on brighter green situation.
Those florals were made with the new BotaniCuts: Lavander dies and the BotaniCuts: Bluebells. I also tucked in a few sprigs from the Plucked die.
I die cut everything from white card stock and blended on various inks. That's really such a fast way to add color that is shaded and lovely. The colors aren't "flat" when you blend them.
PRO TIP: When ink blending, simply apply more pressure in spots and less in others, to create some variegation, even with just one ink color.
The new It's a Wrap Posy Pocket Die (there's also a mini version available!!) was used to create the newsprint-looking bouquet wrap! I used the same Seed Packet background stamp, just stamped in black on white card stock. The bow is part of the It's A Wrap die set, and I added a tiny tag from the Sentiment Suite: Basics die set, stamped with a sentiment from Sentiment Suite: Birthday.
