Hey, Friends! It's that glorious time once again, when there's a new collection launching at The Greetery and this one is called Calico Fields! The entire collection is full of homespun charm and I think you're gonna love it!
To start things off, I used the new Warm & Wonderful stamps and dies to create a Fall-themed pumpkin spice card, BUT! Let me assure you that this stamp set can also make darling Christmas-y and wintery drinks! I can't wait to use this set for Christmas, too, but didn't want to pass up on the opportunity for some Fall crafting while I can! I'm betting some of the other gals on the team, will show you some Christmas-y cards today, though! Be sure to hop around and visit everyone when you leave here!
As usual, Betsy's designs are super clever and serve multiple purposes. Take that stripey straw, for instance! You can also create a candy cane with it, or even a cinnamon stick!! You can make apple cider drinks with this set, or mochas, etc. Super fun!!
I added some leaf die cuts from the new Autumn Bliss set, along with some greens and berries from this Warm & Wonderful set, to create a lush little pile around the mug.

Next up is the newest die set in the BotaniCuts line-up...the Apple! I paired it with the new Bushel Basket die which could not be cuter!
PRO TIP: The bushel basket has some woodgrain patterns that are impressed into the die cuts. To make that pop, run over the die cut with a bit of ink and a blender brush.
PRO TIP: One other tip for the basket, is to use two different ink colors when you're blending the bands verses the boards. I used a brown tone for the boards, and actually a rust color for the bands. Keep your blending nice and light, and it'll look a bit like a weathered basket!
The branch and blooms are all part of BotaniCuts Apple. I couldn't resist creating a little scene with both the branch and a basket of apples.
PRO TIP: I die cut the apples from red card stock, which is super quick and easy, but I added a bit of shading with a darker red ink, to the tops of the apples. It makes them a bit more realistic looking. And in some cases, like the far left apple above, you may also want to add some additional shading on other parts of the apple. You won't want to skip a bit of red shading at the stem area, though.....its such a great touch on an otherwise quick apple!
I added a strip of white lattice with the Square Dance die. Such a simple thing to add a lot of additional interest!
You can really see the woodgrain on the basket boards, in the photo above!
PRO TIP: This is my favorite Pro Tip for today!! I added some leaves from the new Autumn Bliss stamp & die set. But after I stamped them, I WRINKLED THEM UP! I'm telling you, it makes for the BEST extra touch!! Those leaves just make the card! They were the last thing I added, and it just came to life, when I popped those crinkled up leaves on it! You might want to use some liquid glue, to make sure they really stick, since you don't have an entire flat surface to put adhesive on because of the wrinkling. My favorite might be the one tucked in the basket with the apples!

One more for today.....I used the new Print Shop: Calico set and the Patchwork die, to create a whole stack of little paper "quilts" and gosh, they're cute! I'll be sharing a Reel on Instagram, so you can see all of the patterns I made! Lots of different color combos. Goodness, you could literally make ENDLESS patterns with Print Shop: Calico and thennnnnn, you could make ENDLESS little quilts with the Patchwork Die!
PRO TIP: Of course you can mix and match a million different calico patterns, thanks to Print Shop: Calico. But just like in quilting, don't forget some solids and/or some less busy prints! They're easy to die cut with the Patchwork die and mix in with your patterns! You can also play around with just one or two of the Print Shop: Calico stencils, instead of using the whole stencil stack on every pattern!
The sentiment is from the new Autumn Bliss stamp set and I paired it with several of the new Jumbo Curiosity Buckeye Leaf die cuts.
Again, when die cutting from solid colored card stock, I added a bit of additional interest to the top leaf, by adding some shading with ink blending.
A few enamel dots served as berries to finish this one off.
