Hey, friends! It's Day 2 of A Song of Christmas Collection introductions at The Greetery and I LOVE what I get to share with you today!
I used the new Twinkle Background die to create this crazy fun background panel! (Well, technically, there are two of them there! Couldn't resist showing you another color combo option!)
After I adhered the die cut red card stock to a pink card stock layer, I die cut an A2 Arch from them and then used one of the new A2 Arches Stencils, to add a bit of ombré shading to the pink card base.
PRO TIP: Create the look of ombré by choosing a lighter card stock and a darker ink -- both in the same ombré color family -- and blend the ink only at the top. Blend more ink/darker at the very top and lighter in the middle, letting the color fade out before you get to the bottom of the stencil! Letting the arch fade out rather than finish it with ink, left a better fitting spot to add that sentiment without the bottom line of the arch cutting across part of the "Christmas" and creating a bit of visual confusion.
The sentiment is from the new Arched Holiday Sentiments stamp set and that fun ornament was created with one of the new Jumbo Curiosity Ornament Dies! This is the Teardrop ornament, but there are four different ones to choose from! So pretty and gosh, so easy, too! Of course you could cut from white card stock and blend on the ink color, or you can do like I did here, and cut the pieces from various colored card stocks.
PRO TIP: Sparkle card stock works great for shiny ornaments and ornament tops!!

One more for today, friends! For this one, I used the new Mistletoe Arches stencil & matching die! The die cuts out that pretty leafy arch and then you add color with the stencils. I popped that whole thing up on a white card base.
I used one of the new A2 Arches stencils to add a pink arch to the white card base, and then used the stencil from Mistletoe Arches, to add a smaller ombré layer of red on top of the light pink arch.
Lastly, I used the Arched Holiday Sentiments set to add the sentiment components. I love that whole Arched Sentiments line....makes it really easy to make a beautiful card quickly.
PRO TIP: Remember when blending on ink, to do some shading! Notice the berries! I used a small brush to blend on the red color....much lighter on the top of each berry, and much heavier ink on the bottom, to give the appearance of some dimension! It's a simple thing to do, that can add some major visual detail to your card!
