Hello there and welcome back for another day of release fun with The Greetery! Let's dive right in to today's cards!
First up is the new Jumbo Curio: Nest and Jumbo Curio: Feathers die sets.
For the background, I used the new Spring Meadow Background stamp that I used a couple times in yesterday's post.
PRO TIP: I wanted a soft gray background but the inks I had were either TOO soft of a gray, or way too dark. Don't forget that you can always lighten a darker ink by stamping it off on scratch paper first and then stamping it on your project. That's what I did here to get just the right shade for my card. It almost gives it the feel of a vintage wall paper!
I die cut all the elements from white card stock and then blended ink on with my blending brushes. I added a few yellow blooms from the Spring Sprays die set.
Sticking in the side of the nest are two of the jumbo feathers. I blended on blue and turquoise inks on both, to give some variation in the blue tones.
Lastly, I set the whole nest on one of the stamped branches from the older Blooming Branch stamp set.
The sentiment is from a new set called New Day Sentiments.

Ok, so this one was crazy fun to make! I used the new Spring Meadow Stencil, which allows you to create several different colored flowers in the same big bunch. However, when I saw the shape of those little flowers, they immediately reminded me of the forget-me-nots that come up in our garden every year! SO, I decided to recreate them.
The way the stencils work, is that each one has a number on it so you know what order to stencil the layers in, ending with the flower centers, which get layered over all of your flower colors.
In this case though, I knew I wanted blue flowers with yellow centers. If I waited until the end and tried to blend yellow ink over the blue flowers, it wouldn't come out yellow at all. It would be a shade of green. Not ideal when trying to make forget-me-nots!
SO.....PRO TIP: Stencil the stems which are stencils 1 and 2 and then, skip to the last step! Stencil 6 is the flower centers! Put down that yellow ink in the centers and then go back and do stencils 3, 4 and 5 which will be adding the flower color -- in this case, all blue instead of three different colored flowers. HOWEVER, use just the tip of your blending brush and only blend the color around the edges, not touching the yellow centers! It's ok to leave a white ring around the yellow centers, because in real life, forget-me-nots have some white detail around the centers, too!
The end result are some STRIKING little forget-me-nots!! I couldn't be happier with how these little darlings turned out!!
I finished it off with a sentiment from New Day Sentiments and tied on some green baker's twine from my stash.

Ok, last one for today!
BotaniCuts Morning Glory Die is new this month and I'm in love!! We also have morning glories that come up along our fence row every year now, and over the years, we've grown quite a few different varieties so I knew I wanted to create a paper version inspired by one of my favorite real-life flowers! They're pink and red and oh-so pretty!
I pulled out some oldies and added a border with the Frosted Frames die and a sentiment from Signed & Sealed.
Aren't those blooms just so fun?! I have to say that they come together really easily! They're not difficult or fussy at all! Love that!
