Hello there! I'm back with day 2 of new product introductions from the new Hip Hip Hooray Collection launching tomorrow at The Greetery! Today's cards are my favorite from this release, and I had so much fun working with these products, that I went ahead and created more to share with you next month, so stay tuned for that!
For today, goodness gracious, how pretty is that cake?!!! Let me tell you about it!
Firstly, I used the previously released Seed Catalog background stamp very lightly, to give the background some visual interest without it being too distracting from the cake.
Then, I used the new Takes the Cake stamps and stencils to create that gorgeous floral piece that I cut out with the Floral Details die! I then used the Takes the Cake dies to cut out the candles and the cake base, followed by the Stand die to cut out the cake stand and the Banner die to add the birthday sentiment.
I can't get over the dreamy colors you can achieve with ink blending! I stamped the stem details but the rest of the floral piece was all stenciled.

Ok, how fun is THIS card?! I think I keep saying that, but goodness each one is more fun than the last! LOL!
I used the new Gifts Galore stencil to stencil the present boxes onto a piece of colored card stock. Then, I used the Gifts Galore hot foil to add the foiled details and then added the ribbon stenciling on top of the foiling. Next, I used the Gifts Galore dies to add all the cute bow details.
PRO TIP: When blending ink on colored card stock like you see here, use a light colored card stock that your colors will blend on top of easily. If your card stock is too dark, you won't be able to distinguish your pretty stenciling!
PRO TIP: Remember that the gift boxes can be more than one color, when ink blending! Check out that pretty gradient effect from red to purple!
I mean, how cute, right?!
But see that little "window" I cut out???...
Here's what's inside (stamped on the card front!)! It's from the new Make a Wish stamp set.
PRO TIP: Stamp the sentiment on a piece of larger card stock (that you'll glue to your card front later) and then place it behind your window, centering it however you wish. Trace around the entire Gifts Galore panel, and then cut the white sentiment panel out using your trace lines to know where to cut. That way, when you layer your gifts layer on top of the white layer, your sentiment will be perfectly positioned behind your window. Then, adhere both pieces -- the sentiment layer and the gifts panel -- to the card front.

And one more, because we needed another one that is just over-the-top cute! Haha! This one features the new Hey Cupcake dies!
I decided to make my card front look like a box of cupcakes for an anniversary!
I used the new Window Dressing Dotted Scallops die to cut out the teal layer as well as the peach layer "inside the box".
Each cupcake features a different assortment of toppings from the Hey Cupcake die set, as well as some of the new little toppings.....a Buttercream Topper, a Strawberry Topper and a few Party Bits on the little cookies (top right).
For the sentiment, I used the new Sweet & Fancy Labels stamp set, die and hot foil to give it some fancy shine! You could literally make a zillion different cupcakes so this is a fun one to just sit and play with.
PRO TIP: Make a zillion cupcakes to add to your stash and then pull them out and pop them on cards whenever you want to throw a quick card together!!
