Hey, friends! Welcome back for day 2 of Handiwork Collection fun with The Greetery!
Let's jump right in to the projects! How fun are these COLORS?!
I used the fabulous new Rose Tapestry stencils to create that gorgeous floral pattern and then die cut it with the Hoopla Oval Inserts die. I ran the panel through the die cutting machine with the new Aida Cloth Texture Plate! Is that stunning or what?!! Gah! I want to make these in a gazillion color combos!!
Look at that detail up close!
I used the Hoopla Oval die to cut out the frame from white card stock and then inked it up with some brown ink. I die cut the little hanger at the top from gold card stock. I'm tellin' you, metallic card stock is so handy for things like that! It just adds a more realistic touch!
For the sentiment, I used the new Stitched Sentiments stamps and dies again. They're just so pretty!

Next up, oh my word, how darling is this?!!!
This is the new Sew Vintage die and stamps! We have a vintage sewing machine/table in our family room, so this is riiiiiiight up my alley! I love it!
Again, I pulled out the gold and silver card stocks to die cut some of the elements of the sewing machine. And lest you worry that placement of all those little parts is hard, not to worry! The silver layer is all one piece! Then, you die cut the black layer and add it on top! And then, you can add the other pieces.
Before attaching the black layer, I used a few of the stamps from the set, to heat emboss the gold details on the sewing machine.
Again, I used more gold and silver card stock for the hardware on the embroidery hoop, and behind that on the background, I used the new Embroidered Background stamp.
PRO TIP: I stamped it off once on scrap paper before stamping on my card front, to give it less of a vintage/70's feel and more of an antique/1800's feel! But note that depending on what fun/funky colors you use with it, you can also do the opposite and totally use that background stamp to give your cards a bit of a groovy feel!
I decided to add three layers of "fabric" to my sewing table.
PRO TIP: Use foam adhesive behind your "folded" sewing table, to give it a 3-D effect.
PRO TIP: Roll your card stock "fabric" around your finger a bit, to give it some "movement" and attach with glue to the table top and with foam adhesive under the table...again, to make it more 3-D.
The sentiment from the new Sew Vintage stamp set, fits perfectly inside the opening on the sewing machine!

Ok, next up, I made a pair of cards to show you one traditional way and one more unique way to use the new Stitched Scallops Notecard Die!
Firstly, let's talk about this one that is a bit more unique. I die cut one of the new scalloped notecards and attached it to a card stock panel that had been stamped with the new Embroidered Background Stamp.
Side note: Notice how fun and funky that stamp looks when used with a retro color palette, verses the more antique feel of the previous card!
I simply glued the notecard to the front of a single piece of card stock. It still functions as a regular card. I'll be able to write the message inside the note card and the whole thing still fits in an envelope just like any other card would.
I added lots of elements from the new Notionable die set! Oh my heck, how cute are these scissors?!! They actually open and close (until you glue them down - haha!), because they're just attached with a brad!!!! So darling!
And again with the silver and gold card stock!!! The scissors look precious in both colors, and I also used the silver card stock here to cut out the straight pins and needle.
Here is a traditional little note card and this time, the scissors are cut from silver card stock! Cutest things!!
I chose colors for these cards, that coordinate with my real-life tomato pin cushions! (You can scroll back up and see them in the group shot!)
The little spools can be cut from a zillion different colors, of course. So, so fun!

Here's the group shot of the whole happy family! Haha! I always love seeing them all together!
