Hello there! It's time again for Inspiration Friday at The Greetery and today is my turn to share! I find that each month when the release is over, there are still ideas buzzing around in my head, and these Inspiration Friday posts give me a great opportunity to pull those products out again and give them some love. Many months, however, the ideas are abundant in the middle of working on my release assignments and making a little something extra to share for Inspiration Friday is a great way to mix up those products and get those ideas out of my head and onto a card front before the release is even over! Such was the case this month....I couldn't wait to mix up these sets and pair them together for a beautiful and playful card!
I started out with that cutie-patootie acorn die and blended some purple and orange on the leaves. That was really the jumping off point for the whole color scheme of this card!
PRO TIP: It's easy to think of oranges and reds and yellows for Fall leaves, but adding in a touch of purple can really add to the Fall feel, while using a more unique, less-often-thought-of color scheme.....and you know those are exactly the color combos I prefer!
PRO TIP: When blending colors in the same family, like reds and orange, we generally know what to expect when we blend those colors together. But don't be afraid to try blending unexpected colors on the same image. The purple when blended into orange (or even yellow) creates some really beautiful, almost muddy colors that can really be lovely on an Autumn card.
Once I had the acorn in place, I started layering Wildwood florals around it, creating a diagonal spray of florals. The sentiment from Wildwood was the perfect compliment, tucked into the bottom of the spray.

I hope this has given you a bit of inspiration today, and a little nudge to go get creative yourself! Pull out something you haven't played with in awhile, or a few things you love but haven't gotten enough creative time with, mix them all up and make something pretty!
