Good morning! It's day 2 of introductions with The Greetery for the new Recollective Holiday Collection! We're starting off today with my favorite from this whole release!! GAH! Vintage-style bubble lights!!!!!
Let's start from the background and work our way forward. I used the pine branch image from the new Winterland Layers set I mentioned yesterday, and stamped some pine limbs where I wanted them. Then, I added the "candle glow" starburst images.
PRO TIP: Use a lighter shade of ink for your starburst so that they're not competing with all the lines from your pine branch images. The branches are what stands out here, and the starbursts hint at a subtle glow in the background.
Next, I added a couple bits of popcorn garland.
PRO TIP: Die cut the popcorn from white card stock and then LIGHTLY hit it with some yellow ink and a blender brush. Just deepen the yellow in spots, to give it a bit more realistic look. Unless, of course, you're going for the totally bright yellow over-processed popcorn look! LOL! In which case, just lay that yellow on THICK! Hahahaha!
The little red berries AND the peppermints from the new Mint & Berry Mix can be used all over your cards and they also fit perfectly on the little circles in the popcorn garland! I added peppermints to the garland and scattered the berries around, almost like little ornaments on my tree branches.
And now, can we please talk about those darling bubble lights?! Holy moly, I want to stamp these again in a zillion color combos! You use two colors for the top half and another two for the bottom half and then, you use two colors for the bubble section at the top.
I opted for a pink/red paired with a blue/green (no one is surprised by this, I know! Ha!) and then went with a yellow and orange for the bubbles.
The sentiment is also from the Bright & Bubbly stamp set.

Next up, I paired a couple of new things. Let's start with the darling sentiment! That was created with the new Plaid Tidings die and stencils!
I used several pinks and reds to create the plaid and accented it with some holly and more little red berries from the Mint & Berry Bits. I used those berries all over the place on this release! Haha!
For the background, I used the new Fair Isle stencil set to create a pretty and soothing background so my sentiment could really shine!

And lastly, one more fun stencil set to share with you......this one is called Christmas Sampler.
I used the series of stencils to create the background pattern here, and stamped the sentiment die cuts with stamps from the companion sentiment stamp set.
Again, I added some berries to jazz it up a bit with some dimension.
