Hello there! It's time for what has become my favorite release of the year at The Greetery! Making gift tags is just about my favorite thing to paper craft, and after last year's epic vintage printer's tray gift-wrapping station, I knew I had to do it again this year, using this month's new releases! I'm telling you, it made it SO much fun to wrap gifts last year! And the best part is that when I was done wrapping everything else, there were still goodies left in the tray and it made it really easy for Bart to grab whatever he wanted to use, when he wrapped up my gifts!
I've taken loads of close up photos, to help you be able to take in all the details! I hope you enjoy......
For these aqua and green tags, I used the new Magnolia Wreath die and in the center, I added a circle die cut from the older Crimped Circles die set. The sentiment is from the new Four Square Holiday Tags stamp set.
Around it, you can see several snowflake die cuts that I'll be using as gift toppers! Each was die cut with the new Snipped Snowflakes 1, 2 & 3 die sets.
I'll simply tie one onto the bow on a gift, as well as tying on a gift tag! It'll add a sweet little bit of sparkly detail, as these were cut from silver glitter card stock! LOVE! And man....so easy!
At the top of the above photo, I used the new Tassel Small and Tassel Large dies, to create some paper tassels. I'll tie these onto a bow on a gift, same as how I'll tie on the snowflakes! Piling on a few different die cut toppers and gift tags onto each gift will be so fun! The mixing and matching makes each gift feel unique and special!
I also used the new Botanicuts Pinecone dies in the above photo. Simply die cut the shape, fluff all the little nubs forward and add some glue/glitter!
To attach these, I'll simply use a bit of scor-tape or foam adhesive, to stick them to the gift....tucked up close to the bow.
Ok, I LOVE these gift tags!! I used the new Four Square Tags die and Four Square Holiday Tags stamp set to create the tags and then topped them with a sprig from the companion die set, along with a new Botanicuts Pear!!
Fun Fact: I love red pears and always look forward to this time of year when they're in season! They're so sweet and juicy, they taste like candy! So, of course, I had to go with red pears for my tags!
PRO TIP: To add some shading to the bottom of your pear, you can try a darker red ink if you have it. But I found that mine didn't create the effect I was after, so I used some brown ink lightly. Perfect!
Ok, so for that gorgeous flower, I used the new Magnolia Bloom and Large Leaves: Magnolia dies. I fully realize that magnolias are typically white or maybe a soft pink, but I'm guessing you're going to see plenty of white magnolias when you hop around and visit the teams' blogs today! I opted to show you something different....just to spark your creativity! You can use these dies to create any color flower you want! Remember, YOU'RE the designer of your own projects!
I cut mine from two shades of aqua and then used glue to add shading to the leaves -- just on one side -- as well as around the border of the flower petals. You don't have to be too overly fussy with perfect lines. That's part of its charm! It almost has a 1950's Christmas decor sort of feel to it, and you know I love that so much! It's a bit artsy!
A metal brad keeps all the flower layers together, and I put a dab of glue in various spots to keep the flower layers from spinning. Lastly, I used lots of enamel dots to make a really fun, bold flower center!
This is the same tag as above, just with different colored berries. I used two different greens for the wreaths and two different aqua shades for the circles, and then, of course, two different berry colors.
For these tags, I used the new Rustic Star Large and Rustic Star Small dies, and again, these are meant to look like wood and metal. However, I wanted to show you another fun way to use them....with color! No one is suprised by this, right? Haha!
I created some simple Four Square Tags and then when adding the twine to the tag, simply tied on a star, too!
Pro TIP: Die cut your stars from two different colors of card stock and then just mix and match the layers to make multiple stars that are color coordinated but have opposite layers!
How fun are these sweet little tags?!! I used the Tear Strip Tag die and stamp set, along with the new Tear Strip Cover Ups die, to create a third layer on these little tag bundles! I love them so much! So fun and interactive!
For these tags, I used the Four Square Tags again....die cutting them in two different colors....the green and the aqua. On the front of the aqua ones, I stamped the to/from from the Four Square Holiday Tags stamp set. On the green tags, I die cut them a second time, with the Wintry Mix dies.
PRO TIP: When you add twine to string the two tags together, turn the to/from one around backwards! That way, the back side of it is what shows through the FRONT side of the snowflake tag and the letters and writing on the to/from side are facing the back and don't interfere with the snowflake detail.
Ok, so these Tear Strip Tags above are just so darn fun!!! I did basically the same thing as the previous set I showed you, but this time I topped them with one of the small Starburst Baubles die cuts!! You can see the large Starburst Baubles in the little opening above. The larger ones, I'll just tie on to gifts as gift toppers. But the small ones are DARLING tied onto a Tear Strip Tag set!! So that means each little "gift tag" is really four die cuts tied together....there's the white/sentiment layer, the red layer, the "cover up" layer and then the bauble layer. The. Most. Fun!!
Just a few more photos for you to enjoy....
Notice in the above photo, above the star tags on the left, there are a couple more die cut tassels in a dark teal color. And I also used one of the new Ribbon Maker: Wood Bead Garland dies, to create a strip of kraft "bead garland" that I can wrap around a small package. I did a bit of ink blending on it, for some added dimension.
I seriously had the most fun making this gift wrapping station and I honestly think I'll continue to do this every year, because it just makes it such a joy as you're wrapping, to shop from your own assortment of custom tags and toppers!

Before I go, I have a card to show you, too! I used that Magnolia Bloom and the Large Leaves: Magnolia dies, as well as the Magnolia Wreath to make a BIG statement on this card front!!
On the background, I used the new Snowflake Prints stencil to add some detail, and then added a die cut sentiment from Four Square Holiday Tags.
I did a bit of red ink blending in the center of each layer of petals to give some depth to the flower and then just topped it with an adhesive gem from JoAnn's.
How fun are those leaves cut from silver glitter card stock?!
