Hello there! Well, this is certainly fun.....It's my turn to share a project with you today for The Greetery and when I made this whole set of birthday gift tags, I had no idea I'd end up being scheduled to share them with you on MY birthday! Haha!! So here's your annual reminder that today, June 25, is exactly 6 months from Christmas! LOL! I'm guessing some of you might not appreciate that reminder (lol), but for those of you who do, you're welcome! I try to give you a head's up every year, so you don't forget that Christmas is just half a year away again! Heehee!
And now, on to the project! I've been painting a series of fruit paintings in my studio the last couple of weeks, so I've had lemons on the brain. Plus, I was so inspired by a tag set that Betsy shared recently, AND I've been needing some birthday gift tags so I decided to combine all of that inspiration into this project! I wanted to make my own sest of tags that felt really citrusy and juicy colored and these are the result! I love how they turned out!
I have literally a bajillion photos of them to share with you, because they're so pretty all together! Haha! I've got some detail shots for you, too, so you can get a good look at everything! Grab a cup of something delish and get your scroll finger ready! LOL!
I used an array of products to make them, starting with the Four Square Tags Die and the Four Square Birthday Tags Stamps & Dies. The other main component on all of them, was the Lemon Blossom stamps and dies.....I have always loved that set so much! Even just the little flowers and leaves in this set are so versatile. For big impact on sentiments, I used the Make a Wish die, the Simply Bold For You die and the It's Your Day die.
PRO TIP: I chose my color scheme and then just mixed and matched elements on each tag, trying to incorporate as many of the colors from the palette as I could onto each tag. The color variety on each one, makes them very detailed and interesting and FUN!
I also layered a second tag behind each one, so I have a spot to write the to/from info or to jot a note to the recipient.
Here are all the close-ups I promised. Hope you enjoy!
PRO TIP: I added in some rose gold glitter card stock to a couple of the tags. It adds a fun bit of sparkle and remember, you don't have to just use glitter card stock for things like sentiments. You can also die cut leaves and such, from glitter card stock for an unexpected twist!
PRO TIP: These would also make the most darling gift!! Tuck them all in a cute little decorated glassine bag. Tie a bow around a bundle of kraft gift bags, and tuck your cute bag of tags under the bow! You could even slide a package of colorful tissue paper inside one of the bags in the bundle, and maybe even a pretty color-coordinated spool of ribbon! Why not make a gift out of super cute gift wrapping supplies?!
Hope this big punch of summer color has given you some major inspiration to get out your supplies and create!
